so I scored a shadow trooper suit and I was wondering to get to level two clearance are these boots the correct ones

They appear to meet all the requirements, but the only thing they may ding you on is that the manufacturer's name is very prominent on the heel.  That would not be acceptable for L2 as a regular TK.

That could probably be sanded off, and they could definitely be polished for a better shine.

I don't think you could cover it, perhaps sanding off may work, at the end of the day it really depends if your GML would notice

Honestly, I would try to find a better option...The manufacturer's name is in a very visible place. If you try to remove it and it looks bad?It will be money thrown in the trash ...

Regards.

Just was informed by a lvl2 specialist that they are the same as his so I’m confident in them

It really depends on what the current DL's say, just because someone has been approved with the others in the past does not automatically mean they will be approved again, as mentioned the CRL does state Flat sole with a short heel.

Perhaps contact @justjoseph63 or @shashachu for clarification as they are our current DL's.

To be honest, if I were a GML I would not pass them for a few reasons.  Since this costume is basically a TK but with different colored armor the same basic requirements should apply as in ANH.  As per the CRL, the boots hsould have a "Flat sole with a short heel".   The sole is much thicker than a TK boot "should" be and is not flat (raised ridges).  The heel is extended and also has prominent visible ridges on the bottom (like a work boot).  There is also some sort of cloth seam that runs along the entire outside where the leather meets the rubber part.

BUT, in saying that I am not familiar with how Special Ops approves their boots and they could very well pass them.  Your best bet would be to ask there and get some more detailed advice or ask you local GML.
