TerribleBen[TK] Posted February 23, 2020 Report Posted February 23, 2020 Hello everyone. I started on my bucket today and I'm not picasso with the dremel. The cheek vents are rough. Any suggestion to make them look better? Thnx Ben Quote
gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted February 23, 2020 Report Posted February 23, 2020 (edited) Small thin flat files, you can normally get them in sets, round ones are good for curved corners too https://www.harborfreight.com/12-piece-precision-needle-file-set-4614.html Edited September 4, 2022 by gmrhodes13 photo updated 1 Quote
TerribleBen[TK] Posted February 23, 2020 Author Report Posted February 23, 2020 Yeah I have um. Worried about the material between the vents getting thin. Quote
Darth147[TK] Posted February 23, 2020 Report Posted February 23, 2020 i had the same issue just fill it not all the way and use a file Quote
TerribleBen[TK] Posted February 23, 2020 Author Report Posted February 23, 2020 So I came up with a better way. I ground the material behind the rear vents thinner. Then went at it with the dremel. Looks 100% better. So filled the cheeks with putty and will redo them"sigh" Quote

TerribleBen[TK] Posted April 21, 2020 Author Report Posted April 21, 2020 Hello all, in the CRL the thighs, biceps, and forearms are all closed with velcro. The lower leg says closed with greaves. What is a greave? Quote

TerribleBen[TK] Posted April 26, 2020 Author Report Posted April 26, 2020 Hello everyone, with all the stores closed I have ordered nylon webbing off the net. My question is the thigh strap placement. I have seen it on the sides where it can be seen. Can it be hidden behind the drop boxes? Has anyone done this? Acceptable? Thanks again for all the comments and input Ben Quote
Sly11[Admin] Posted April 26, 2020 Report Posted April 26, 2020 Strapping of armour generally isn’t covered in the CRL’s only external factors. Correct placement would only be a representation of further accuracy and that is up to you. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote

11b30b4[TK] Posted July 24, 2020 Report Posted July 24, 2020 (edited) looking nice, keep it up. Modifying that BS helmet is a real pain but it does look good once you get finished. Edited July 24, 2020 by 11b30b4 Quote
