Good night trooper! Nice looking armor!!

I have a couple suggestions that you will need to do for your approval.

First of all, you need to fill the gap between your abdominal and kidney plate... It's just, too much, it's pretty easy even when you can left the seam for basic approval.

As well, the little gap at the front on the lower ridge of the left thigh, just put some abs cement that match the same color as the armor and you will be fine so far!

Hope to see you trooping soon!

Good luck! 74d682282efe5996803f0c4848a991b5.jpg2a2ee8a7bd5015af6bdc6b35b2744a3b.jpg03b1b2dccaaa61654da7f989be8870d9.jpg

Hey Nadas looking good brother.

Regarding the Ab/Kidney side gap, according to the CRL there is no measurement requirement at basic however, please check with your garrison's GML as to what they require. The following is all that is required for basic Ab to Kidney. That said L2 and L3 will have tighter requirements.

Abdomen Armor

  • The abdomen armor has a button area that matches the color pattern shown (3 blue + 6 gray); buttons are approximately 7/16" (11mm) in diameter.

Besides filling in the thigh gaps front (as suggested by Aizenoso) do the same for the rear or trim for mobility. I also suggest you remove any return edge that may help the armor sections sit closer to your body.

Thank you for the suggestion most of my return edges have been trimmed down to 5mm or to none as on my chest plate. Not to sure on the back plate and abs has it gone from my kit expect the top I believe.

I asked my GML about the gap and brought up my S-trim and shoulder straps not being held down at the back. I will be getting elastic bands when I can to fix that but have rearranged my S-trim to look like this 42e4c1c4fecca694b31dcba5f4c4ccb5.jpg&key=c678873c92878ac10fb9837de9ec765299c7a3b89c17f4fad0c084c220e9eb6a765926955cb0fd0df28f42e5d2547422.jpg&key=224234dcbc3dbe9ac1cd6b752f01f84ee4e067eeb09b5dcd768c34b5ad284e09

I don’t believe I mentioned the shoulder bells to you.
I’ve been seeking clarification on the s-trim before replying.

... just realised you mean shoulder straps not the strapping feel like an idiot planning to grab some elastic bands to fix that

I think the guys have you covered for everything to do with basic approval. Great to see you took all the advice in your stride and have made many improvements Nadas.

Almost there, and I anticipate your approved in the very near future.

Looking good, sir!  If I could suggest something, it would be to raise your belt in the front and back.  As seen in your previous fitting, you don't seem to have an issue with the posterior plate riding out, so raising it would look much better.

Ideally, the bottom of the canvas belt should sit right at or just above the top of the posterior plate.

Looks good for basic. :duim:  I'm not sure what the problem was with the S-trim - that is an upper level requirement anyways.

If you can't move your thigh pieces up, you could always try a bit of padding to keep the sniper knee from getting under the thigh.  A little padding at the back of the thigh and a little padding at the front of the shin in the knee area might help.

Good luck!

I agree with the feedback provided by others. Elastic at the back of the straps are not required at basic. Definitely watch out for that knee to make sure you don't crack it!

The leg pieces seem long to me. Your sniper knee was tucked under in a few photos (was said by @Aizenoso) I recommend pulling them all down away from the cod piece.

goodluck

I didn't mean that, i meant about the gap between the two parts of the left thigh at the bottom ridge, the space between the pieces should be filled with something that match the color of the armor, or paint after dry.

But yeah, also that, the sniper knee is going under the thigh piece, that should be fixed too, maybe triming a little from lower part of the shin pieces, maybe trying to move each thigh to outside a little so they maybe can go up just what he need...

Looking good. If your gonna trim the shins start off with small amounts. 100 small cuts is better then one big cut too much

It's just my opinion, but I would hold off on reducing the calves for now.  You may want to reduce the angle of the thigh ammo pack a bit, but the spacing between the bottom of the thighs and the top of the calf looks ideal to me.

Thank you for all the feedback, I feel like my shins and thighs sit nice on me they don't clip with the cod or butt plate and my shins don't touch expect the sniper knee which I have pushed out and planning to add some foam/sponge to the back of my thighs so it stops it coming under the thigh. it also does not bite me much when moving so I can walk for hours.

Like my grandfather used to say, "If it's not broken, don't fix it"!  Be sure to keep us informed on your approval!

Unfortunate the database is in lockdown until the 17th, but at least your GML can give you feedback until then.

Good luck once again.

is this a mix of kits?  there seems to be different colours of white going on.

only thing i noticed: make sure the  cod is pulled up tight.  snug. and the rear part the same.  with gaps in the armour they will lift and separate.  i would order some more obs from the vendor and complete the middle just for appearances even if the lvl 2 or 3 arent of interest.
