Tsedd11 Posted January 13, 2020 Report Posted January 13, 2020 Hi, wannabe Stormtrooper here. I’ve wanted to get into the 501st for a while but all the kits and everything seem super expensive! I found this page on Etsy and they have a lot of reviews and the description said it can be 501st approvable but you know how that goes. The link for the armor I was looking at is down below. Any inquires on whether or not I could use this would be great! thank you all, tsedd11 Ps: if I posted this in the wrong spot let me know, first time posting here https://etsy.me/2AAFPRR Quote

Welcome to the FISD! here is a list of vetted sellers. 850 ArmorWorks is fairly well known but is not on the vetted list at this time. If you are set on a Rogue One TK (what 850 is selling in the post) then you don't have many choices out there (KB props and Jimmiroquai are two that come to mind). If you are looking for a Original Trilogy stormtrooper kit, there are a number of other options out there. If you want more info on working with the 850 kits, check out our build section. There are some 850 builds in progress. https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/196-rogue-one-build-threads/ To be honest, in most cases you get what you pay for. A lot of different kits can be 501st "approvable" - but the amount of blood, sweat, and tears involved will vary greatly. Hope that helps a bit. Good luck! 1 Quote
gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted January 13, 2020 Report Posted January 13, 2020 Generally we say try to stay off Etsy, eBay, FB and other places, have a read through the Getting Started section a wealth of information can be found there, good luck Quote
ImperialLoyalty342[501st] Posted January 14, 2020 Report Posted January 14, 2020 If you were to go with 850 then I recommend you buy from their site. There are many more options there. I’ve seen 850 look great, is certainly is approvable if done right. https://850armorworks.com Quote
Neb Sgird[TK] Posted January 14, 2020 Report Posted January 14, 2020 Depends which trooper you plan to build. We have an approved 850 first order trooper in my garrison, but I've heard their ANH TK kits aren't very accurate. I haven't looked too far into their R1/Solo kits.
