11b30b4[TK] Posted September 17, 2019 Report Posted September 17, 2019 (edited) Rogue One TK Sources (updated 8-10-2020) Since I keep seeing these questions popping up from time to time, I figured I would make this simple for everyone. I do not have experience with some of these sources so if any of you do please chime in. Further, I am not pushing or supporting any of these sources, I am just providing you all the list and what they provide, and you choose who and what you want to go with. Lastly, If I do have experience with a specific source, I will note that and my overall experience with them. I am not pushing any sources, rather supplying you a list to work from if you are having a hard time finding stuff. Please feel free to add to this or provide "creative" comments. ROTK Sources Jimmiroquai Armor, Helmet, Under Suit [email protected] Jim was the first source for ROTK armor and is considered very accurate. The armor is flexible fiberglass and requires painting. I have a full set or armor, helmet, and under suit from Jim and I like everything. 850 Armor Works Armor, Helmet, Under Suit https://850armorworks.com/ 850 AW is offering vacuum formed ROTK armor. They produce this armor in ABS and it looks accurate from the pictures I have seen. They also offer a resin helmet and undersuit now. The scope, counter, and power cylinders are all wrong and there is not a light rail or tactical light. DoopyDoo’s RO E-11 parts https://www.doopydoos.com/star-wars-props-31-c.asp It has been noted that some of the E-11s used in RO were equipped with a DoopyDoo cast of the M.H.R. Co. Shear Tech RO E-11, Rubber RO Handguards https://www.facebook.com/sheartech/ I am not real familiar with these guys but the E-11 looks nice and the rubber hand guards are nice as well. MMcFett Posted September 17, 2019 Report Posted September 17, 2019 Does 850 make the helmet? I thought they didn't.Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk Quote
11b30b4[TK] Posted September 17, 2019 Author Report Posted September 17, 2019 MMcFett, you are correct. i thought they were doing a helmet at one point but that was HSP. I have corrected the OP. 2 Quote
TheRascalKing[TK] Posted September 18, 2019 Report Posted September 18, 2019 Also, Hyperfirm is no longer around - Praetorian effectively took over for them. If you can find one secondhand, they're still great blasters, but no new orders are being taken. In other news, THANK YOU for posting this - it will be SUPER helpful for new recruits! 2 Quote
11b30b4[TK] Posted September 19, 2019 Author Report Posted September 19, 2019 Crap, grabbing the B-Grade anything was like getting next to new stuff for 1/2 price. OP corrected again. 1 Quote
11b30b4[TK] Posted September 20, 2019 Author Report Posted September 20, 2019 Ukswrath, thanks brother. I also found another RO E-11 maker. I will add them to the list. 2 Quote

Guest All the power Posted September 21, 2019 Report Posted September 21, 2019 Someone sells a extremely accurate 3D model of the rogue one helmet seen here: https://www.cgtrader.com/3d-print-models/games-toys/toys/stormtrooper-helmet-star-war I bought the model to see how good it actually is, there are some issues to be noted. The 1 piece model has the cut lines from where it was split. Not sure why the person did that. It has a surface of that of a scanned 3d model, not a scratch built one. Maybe a sideshow/hot toys rogue one helmet was used or maybe the file got corrupted from when it was uploaded to the host website, ruining the faces of the model. Quote
GandalfTheImperial Posted September 21, 2019 Report Posted September 21, 2019 (edited) Now that I'm logged in. Here's a pic of the model in blender (which a smoother modifier added to smooth those nasty faces) with those weird lines visible Might try to contact the seller see if he as a model without them. Because looking at the possibility of 3d printing this as one piece looks like a challenge when you look at the mesh. Edited September 21, 2019 by GandalfTheImperial Quote

11b30b4[TK] Posted September 24, 2019 Author Report Posted September 24, 2019 Well Crap MMcFett, If I had seen that RO E-11 back when I was doing my build I would have grabbed it. I purchased an ANH E-11 3D print from Blaster Master before he shut down his store. Lots of awesome reviews of his E-11s and he was a great guy to talk with. I planned on building the ANH E-11 and converting it to RO standards but I have never gotten around to doing it. GandalfTheImperial, that bucket looks nice. I have a Prusa I3Mk3 so I would need to print it in parts and then glue it together. I like the size options as well and 30.00 bucks for the model seems like a steel. I have a black series bucket that I am planning on modifying for my RO 850 AW build but I am not sure which would be easier, 3D print this one or mod the BS. The only thing I would do differently if I had modeled this would be to have the tears and rear boxes be separate parts. This would make painting and detailing easier. I know there are some 3D models of the armor out there but I have no idea where and obviously no clue about price and quality. Thank you everyone for the updates. 1 Quote
CommissarGurke[501st] Posted September 24, 2019 Report Posted September 24, 2019 Are there any RO E-11 3D files currently available anywhere? I've had little luck finding any during my research, so I might end up converting the ANH E-11 to RO, as 11b30b4 mentioned. Quote
lightwave000 Posted September 25, 2019 Report Posted September 25, 2019 Does anyone know what is going on with Praetorian? I was in communication with them over 2 weeks ago on their FB page and they said they were almost done with their new batch of E11s. Then they fell off the face of the Earth and are nowhere to be seen and do not respond. Quote

Well they've always been a bit spotty on their response times and consistancy but they've eventually get back to you, usually. Send them another email or PM every few days. Quote

I'd give it another week! Quote
lightwave000 Posted October 8, 2019 Report Posted October 8, 2019 Yes I saw that too. That was 4 days ago now. I messaged the owner and the official page. Multiple times. I see they have been active but no response back. I know I'm probably not the only person trying to get a hold of them but I think a quick reply to let us know whats up would be nice/professional. At this point, the 1 week that has turned into 4 weeks of waiting-as much as I wanted one, I may just go another route. I don't have anymore time to wait or ill end up buying something random at the toy store and spray painting it black lol. Very disappointing as Ive heard its a great product. Quote
gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted October 8, 2019 Report Posted October 8, 2019 Something to remember is many armor makers do this in their spare time and real life comes first and although unfortunate not to receive a reply people do get busy, ill or even go on holidays it's not uncommon not to hear from a maker for weeks so hang tight if you can I'm sure you'll get a response in time. 1 Quote
cjkirk11 Posted October 10, 2019 Report Posted October 10, 2019 I have a praetorian E-11 and I was one of the first to buy the R1 version and they were super helpful and it is a fantastic product. I'd give them some time. Quote
MMcFett Posted July 6, 2020 Report Posted July 6, 2020 So HSP is making the armor now and looks like 850 is starting on the helmet. 3 Quote
11b30b4[TK] Posted August 10, 2020 Author Report Posted August 10, 2020 List updated. thank you all for the suggestions. TKModder421, the best I can suggest is to try some of the OT lenses from a ton of sources and see if they fit your helmet. If I recall, you have Nico' files. There should be lense bucks for vacuum forming included in the files pack. But I am assuming you do not have a vacuum forming machine and that is why you are asking. Sending you a pm now. 1 Quote

I have corrected the OP. @11b30b4 850Armorworks has upgraded their ENTIRE shop (multiple 3D printers, new paint booth) and has just begun production of a rotocast ROTK helmet, and it comes with your choice of printed hovi mics. They are also working on upgrading ROTK armor parts slowly but surely. Because of Hurricane Sally, they are shutdown, but they will be back up and running as soon as possible. Their IG has been documenting everything, and it's impressive. 3 Quote
CountCunning Posted November 23, 2020 Report Posted November 23, 2020 I see on the CRL that there's an option for a baton and holster. Has anyone got a bead on the model of baton and type of holster used? Quote
