Fives-Niner[TK] Posted September 17, 2019 Report Posted September 17, 2019 I have TrooperTalk with an Aker 1506 amp and the accompanying mic. I’m very pleased with the way it sounds, except that whenever I move in my armor it makes little pops and cracks. I think this is due to the headphone jack moving around in the socket. Anyone have any ideas on how to keep it secured in place? Quote
ukswrath[Staff] Posted September 18, 2019 Report Posted September 18, 2019 Hey, sorry for the delay. Sounds like the mic connector or the port on the Aker is having an issue. Quote

I’m actually noticing that the straight connectors aren’t having issues, it’s only the 90 degree one that swings back and forth. I’ll just purchase a straight splitter and see if that helps it. Quote
ukswrath[Staff] Posted September 18, 2019 Report Posted September 18, 2019 Sounds good, let me know if there's anything I can do to help Quote
themaninthesuitcase[Admin] Posted September 19, 2019 Report Posted September 19, 2019 I don't use TrooperTalk but something similar and had the same issues with the cheap adapters.. I've used heat shrink to hold them in place. I also try and secure the wiring as best as I can at the start of each troop so that the joins aren't moving about. I still have the odd issue but nothing like as bad as I used to. 2 Quote
