Right Shin painted.

A benefit of using the toothpaste method is I get a great result on the armour and also a minty fresh breath.6e9fc3b8fbddab7d696f40755ec8dd03.jpg

Procrastination and bad weather have slowed down the build. Masked up my biceps yesterday, ready to paint in the next few days.

Hoping to get a bit done this coming weekend.bcc96935a7a4d311fd50ccc057e12354.jpg

Tackled the bucket today and while super nervous to start with, I'm super happy with the way it has finished up. Still more to do, but getting closer.2afc457f46f4677cf2c7d115b969cce4.jpg8ad768078402f71113c7816f9b1ddc90.jpgac8e4502bc0774e883a18fce6a6f4872.jpg

Progress on my shock trooper bucket which is coming along nicely. Painted the frown/teeth, vocoder and ears today. Waiting for the grey to dry before painting the black details on the ears.d725ef3a3f65933d1002f8ca05c8d16b.jpg0c6cfab234dbb8e117ed5a04fe1ebe37.jpg76e46b23086c9b024ef5ab43369168cd.jpg

The joys of installing a rubber seal.
Step 1. Remove all the return edges.
Step 2. Measure and cut the rubber
Step 3. Glue the seal to the armour.

Ab armour trimmed and seal installed.

The Shock Trooper armor build continues.

A productive night removing all the return edges and I've cut all the rubber seals to size. Now to glue them all on, later

Also trimmed the chest armour to be more shaped like the ROTJ Stylee6ad5c1ebf27bb75c6c8a164273a5066.jpg

Decided to partially suit up, only held together with blue tape but it is looking great.

Strapping, belt, weathering and some other minor things to do. Getting closer.ff5a16930c1c5b797fba4ad6c15cab66.jpg

Making strapping for my Shocktrooper so I thought I would upgrade my thigh support for my TK at the same time. Changing to a belt as opposed to attached directly to my ab armour. Look mum no hands9ac6b57c05ad3eb355a617becbcd704b.jpg

I painted my Ab button plate today, unfortunately the smaller plate was missing but with some advice from a fellow TK (thanks Brent Seymour ) I made my own. A piece of ABS and black pins and it's done.96310e876f6eaa9df92ce19d24758457.jpg

Project: Shocking update.

Most of the armour is complete, just needs some fine tuning and adjustments to some of the return edges etc.

What's left - make the belt, trim the hand guards, build TD and TD clips, complete strapping system, buy some boots and dirty it up.284d18711602327aa9a94344b4ca3f6d.jpg

After getting some great advice from fellow troopers I trimmed my 'Wookie sized to me sized.

Pics of pre, during and after trimming. Also assembled my TD at the same time.714f378eeddab5b6afc5384e59064be1.jpg&key=5a732a8786e889088d3d095225fafc94e3c97aea45f5e38651a72d1e421a929de1b65f974ae98dace26f71a35e7521db.jpg&key=3333a9f6c3a0615f1bdb073f9a108ec091892305ae586e59560b688271bc5d46fdec1d587f59add721e5f6ae6f9c29b9.jpg&key=6bc25a4b1fa366bfebc6b15cd0ef157783b247760ef4e7180133018c40c4df23

With all my armour now assembled and trimmed I think it's time to get dirty

Started weathering my Shocktrooper armour tonight and it's oddly satisfying.

Using a black acrylic paint, rubbing it on with a rag, then removing any excess with a clean rag.467c33a0f38f7e2160f3ac1ff0d57a9c.jpg60b5f31c826c74a8ec76828738b5936b.jpg
