Wompet[TK] Posted June 24 Author Report Posted June 24 44. Webster/Rochester Library Summer Reading Kick-off; 21 June 2024 This was the second time I've done this troop. Thankfully the temperatures dropped from the low 90s earlier in the week to more comfortable 80℉ (34 to 26℃). Forced perspective does weird things ( @tdurden is taller than me, but not that much taller): @tdurden and @Manbehindthemask enjoying the games: 3 Quote

Wompet[TK] Posted July 2 Author Report Posted July 2 46. Nickel City Comic Con, 30 June 2024 Day 2 was spent in my Mandolorian Death Watch, so no pictures of that here, or @Doggydoc in his Darth Maul ... Day 3 of the con: Obligatory group shot: Guess how I spent most of the day (most of the weekend, actually): I was senselessly attacked by a web-headed wall-crawling vigilante (if you look close, you can see the web lines attached to my armor): And we presented a welcome bag to Daniel Logan, who graciously agreed to a group photo in front of our Jabba puppet: 4 Quote
Wompet[TK] Posted July 21 Author Report Posted July 21 (edited) 47. North American Science Fiction Convention, 20 July 2024 This was a first for our garrison, so there were a couple of small hiccups. What was planned as a three-day troop for us a single day. And with us in the convention center and most of the scheduled events in the adjacent hotel, we were limited in our trooping. But there are always good points about every troop: I got a couple of autographs from Guest of Honor Alan Dean Foster when he visited our table: I saw this during my first troop in the convention center a couple of years ago, but hadn't gotten a picture yet: This planet doesn't look familiar ... You are here: (Actually you weren't there; you were an inch-and-a-half east-northeast (insert "aim" joke [here]).) Edited July 21 by Wompet 6 Quote
JBar[TK] Posted August 5 Report Posted August 5 Well deserved @Wompet! Amazing Con that I need to visit next year. Those props and pics are amazing. Love the Tantive IV airlock too Quote
Wompet[TK] Posted September 17 Author Report Posted September 17 48. Flower City Comic Con, 15 September 2024 One of our members bought a very nicely designed white lightsaber with black trim (perfect TK colors!) which I had to pose with: Question: Is this a Jawa problem, or a droid problem? 4 Quote

Oh sorry, just read that it wasn't yours, or that it was a TK saber! It really got me thinking of getting this accessory now! Quote
Wompet[TK] Posted October 15 Author Report Posted October 15 (edited) 49. Nickel City Comic Con, 12 October 2024 Usually held just in the summer, the showrunners decided to have a second weekend this fall. Ready for the troop to start: Not the droid I'm looking for (he is a fellow TK though): As previously mentioned, my TK likes petting the local wildlife: Edited October 15 by Wompet 2 Quote
Wompet[TK] Posted October 15 Author Report Posted October 15 50! Nickel City Comic Con, 13 October 2024 So this troop began with my right shoulder bridge snapping in half (thanks given for garrison mates with white duct tape!) and the snap connecting my left shoulder bell strap to my shoulder elastic coming apart (a fix was MacGyvered). But after that - fun was had by all. I don't have copies of these pictures yet, but the Garrison presented welcome bags to guest celebrities and Star Wars actors Deep Roy, Jeryl Prescott, and Jon Abrahams. Still not the droid I'm looking for: An actor named William Shatner from another franchise was supposed to be there, but all I saw was his chair: 3 Quote

Wompet[TK] Posted November 6 Author Report Posted November 6 52. Brick Fest Live, 2 November 2024 This was the first time a Brick Fest was in our Garrison's area and available to troop at. Going by others' pictures, this was a smaller traveling exhibit (which was just as well, as the first day only two of us were able to troop it). 1 Quote

Wompet[TK] Posted November 19 Author Report Posted November 19 (edited) 54. Maker Faire Rochester, 16 November 2024 An annual favorite to troop. This year's was a bit smaller than previous - previous years' were held on both floors of the Rochester Convention Center; this year's was the field of the Rochester Institute of Technology's field house. Look sir - droids! Obligatory group shot: The Empire's new exercise program: https://imgur.com/9I49Wdt At one point, I took the high ground: Edited November 19 by Wompet Trying to fix the video link ... 5 Quote
Wompet[TK] Posted Thursday at 12:15 AM Author Report Posted Thursday at 12:15 AM 55. The Strong National Museum of Play - In Another Galaxy; 24 November 2024 Our biggest troop of the year, with multiple garrisons and groups. We're missing half the Saber Guild and the Mandalorian Mercs here, but the group shots are like herding cats. 4 Quote
