Thankfully the temperatures dropped from the low 90s earlier in the week to more comfortable 80℉ (34 to 26℃). North American Science Fiction Convention, 20 July 2024 This was a first for our garrison, so there were a couple of small hiccups. What was planned as a three-day troop for us a single day. And with us in the convention center and most of the scheduled events in the adjacent hotel, we were limited in our trooping. But there are always good points about every troop: I got a couple of autographs from Guest of Honor Alan Dean Foster when he visited our table: I saw this during my first troop in the convention center a couple of years ago, but hadn't gotten a picture yet: This planet doesn't look familiar ... You are here: (Actually you weren't there; you were an inch-and-a-half east-northeast (insert "aim" joke [here]).)
