Aizenoso[TK] Posted July 17, 2019 Report Posted July 17, 2019 Greetings troopers, here I will be posting photos from my Stormtrooper Commander armor I just finished, waiting for a couple things to send the photos to my local GML. First, the photos I took yesterday when I finished the paint job, and put on the armor. Enviado desde mi SM-G955F mediante Tapatalk Quote
Aizenoso[TK] Posted July 17, 2019 Author Report Posted July 17, 2019 As my objective is going for centurion level, I have made the armor with all the details straight to centurion level. First, the helmet. All hand painted, a couple of things I used a template, other parts full free hand painted. Enviado desde mi SM-G955F mediante Tapatalk Quote

Enviado desde mi SM-G955F mediante TapatalkThe photos are a little dark, so you can see the work on the paint and weathering, with full light it makes whiter and lose a little of the weathering look.Sorry if I say something that sounds weird, English is not my mother tongue, but I'm trying to improve on it.Enviado desde mi SM-G955F mediante Tapatalk Quote
Aizenoso[TK] Posted July 17, 2019 Author Report Posted July 17, 2019 Next part, chest and pack armor pieces.Shoulder bridges attached with strong velcro, I will put a elastic between chest and back on the sides, making it just like Rotj movies. Upper armor "floating free", and arms attached to shoulder bridges. Enviado desde mi SM-G955F mediante Tapatalk Quote

Alay[TK] Posted July 17, 2019 Report Posted July 17, 2019 Looks great so far! It's hard to tell the fit from "selfie pose" in the mirror though; when you have your undersuit and all together, I'd suggest trying to get someone else to snap some pics, or setting up a tripod Awesome to see another commander! Aizenoso[TK] Posted July 17, 2019 Author Report Posted July 17, 2019 Last things!! Boots! Holster! (I will change the attachments to loops like esb/rotj style, when I get my handmade Rotj e11 made ^^) Aaaaaaaand the lightsaber based on starkiller's one! I made this handmade on pvc some time ago. I want to buy a tricree led to make it a nice cian color, now it's like ice blue, like Rey's version of the graflex. Enviado desde mi SM-G955F mediante Tapatalk Quote
magni[TK] Posted July 18, 2019 Report Posted July 18, 2019 Looks great! Couple of things, Looks like you forgot coverstrips on backs of shins and there is no holster for Commander. Almost there!! Quote

Couple of things, Looks like you forgot coverstrips on backs of shins and there is no holster for Commander. Almost there!! My armor doesnt have coverstrips, so i don't have one, and the pieces are flat, so i tried to "make" a coverstrip with some heat, but didn't want to heat to much and maybe destroy the piece. Also, yes, there is holster for commander, check out the CRL, there is the ANH Hero/Stunt, ESB and ROTJ style Quote
magni[TK] Posted July 18, 2019 Report Posted July 18, 2019 I don't know how the holster was added to CRL. I believe it was decided that the game doesn't have a holster. Maybe someone will clarify for the both of us.Sent from my LGMS631 using Tapatalk Quote

JFarwell Posted July 18, 2019 Report Posted July 18, 2019 Sweet suit bud love the blue. Awesome 1 Quote
Aizenoso[TK] Posted July 18, 2019 Author Report Posted July 18, 2019 Oh, by the way, this armor is constructed with overlap mode, so, there is no real coverstrip. As the AFP armor is made to be used for ANH/ESB armor, one side has the flat cover part, usually "at the front" part, the other doesnt have it. That's why you maybe see some weird or almost not existing "coverstrip", i tried to thermoform them with a little of heat, but i was scared to destroy the piece, so i just did a little of bending to make it. I hope the sentence can be understood. Quote
Aizenoso[TK] Posted July 18, 2019 Author Report Posted July 18, 2019 And here comes the "high fidelity" detail part. Arms. Using 1 stripe to attach the shoulder bell and biceps to shoulder bridge. No elastics around the corners of the shoulder bell, no return edge on the wrist. The "arrow" on the shoulder bell bump pointing forward. Enviado desde mi SM-G955F mediante Tapatalk Quote
Aizenoso[TK] Posted July 18, 2019 Author Report Posted July 18, 2019 Now, the belt. I posted it before, but now better pics. Like 1mm from the boxes to belt border. Corners trimmed at 45° 12x12mm, buttons at 2mm from the border. Boxes closed at the back, attached with 2 rivets to 25mm white elastic band. 2 rivets to attach plastic belt to fabric belt, and 2 from fabric belt to the abdominal plate. Also, boxes are 1cm thick.Fabric belt made from 1 layer of cordura, waiting for a nylon belt to arrive. Meanwhile, I will be using this meanwhile.Industrial velcro, 5cm wide, 12,5cm long ~ used for closing the belt behind.4 ribets each side of plastic belt doing a rectangular shape. Aizenoso[TK] Posted July 18, 2019 Author Report Posted July 18, 2019 Now, thermal detonator.18,4cm total length. 4 flat slotted screw, pan head type, painted black, 6mm diameter of the head. Metallic 2,5 clips, made of aluminium, 45° corners on the panel side, rounded corners at the end. The panel was handmade using a heat gun over some abs plastic, the same used for the armor. I didn't really know If I had to cut some of the piece or it was full flat panel. I guided myself from the hq images from the tkc forum part for measurements.2cm thick each end cap.
