MaskedVengeance[Staff] Posted October 6, 2023 Report Posted October 6, 2023 Really cool shoot, man. It was fun watching it on the socials. I'm also loving that the E-11s were held left-handed! But when didn't Bender get in his armor?! Also, while I had seen the preceding beach photos, I hadn't seen the statistics you mentioned. Very cool to see those numbers and breakdowns! 1 Quote
TheRascalKing[TK] Posted October 26, 2023 Author Report Posted October 26, 2023 (edited) Moved houses and workshops! October 2023 Not a troop, but a significant life event I'll share: Pardon my spotty attendance of late - I've been busy movin' on up to a new construction townhome in the next city over with a two-car attached garage, which means the end of an era and nearly 8 years in the single car detached carport that has been "Rascal Studios". Many thanks to the TKs who have graced this hallowed hall and many memories were made and friendships built in this space. Seeing it empty, it's hard to imagine I fit storage, a workbench, and all the tools needed for a stormtrooper build in here, plus my wagon/estate. On to bigger and better things and I'll post some photos of the new workshop once I'm all set up, though with the baby on the way, that isn't likely to be any time soon. 79. Very cool to see those numbers and breakdowns! Of course a few of us chimed up and had to set people right... er, left! I think Bender and his wife recently had their Narkina prisoners approved and were just understandably hyped to wear them, plus you can't beat the comfort. Thanks, I found it interesting anyways - we have a great crew of TKs out in SoCal! Edited October 30, 2023 by TheRascalKing 2 Quote

Comic Orange 2024 - Tustin, CA - Sat. 4/13/24 (ANH-S #55, FTE #64) Clowning around with TK-62345, @Dsposato0 Note that a change in my understanding of the rules for what counts as a "troop" within our Garrison has changed, and apparently we do get credit for events where we POC in an open-faced costume, so I added in an additional 3 troops to my overall count where I wore my Officer costume as POC for the event. I'll go back and fix all of the numbering at some point, but this post and my list on page 1 are accurate and it does not affect my total FTE's - I just use this single thread for all of my troops. TheRascalKing[TK] Posted May 6 Author Report Posted May 6 (edited) *Unofficial - Live Like Jojo Foundation Walk Launch & Volunteer Rally - Aliso Viejo, CA - Sat. 5/4/24 Unfortunately, this event was unable to be picked up as an official troop due to the overwhelming number of submissions, but we ended our May the 4th by supporting the Live Like Jojo Foundation's Walk Launch & Volunteer Rally. The actual Walk itself in the fall will be an official event, but the Rally was Star Wars-themed and our last troop was 10min away, so we stopped by to show our support. TheRascalKing[TK] Posted May 6 Author Report Posted May 6 (edited) Some quick notes if I haven't addressed these concerns before in my thread: - All of the images contained in my Troop Log should be fine to share on any Club social media channels with proper credit - for Mission Report photos, I don't tend to credit photographers, but definitely on any artsy or photoshoot ones. I can provide TKIDs of all troopers by request. - I make a concerted effort not to intentionally show the faces of minor children in any of my shared photos without either express or reasonably assumed consent of their parent, so it's often just our Mission Report photo with just the 501st or all club troopers, not fan interactions. When there are minor children in the photo, our wranglers/handlers/squires are good about asking "Can I get one for our club socials?" or "Is this okay to share?"/etc when taking photos. If there is any question of consent, I try to blur or sticker over their faces or crop them out if they are in the foreground. While laws vary by country, I suggest strongly that this be a best practice for everyone! Edited May 6 by TheRascalKing 2 Quote

Orange County Light The Night - Irvine, CA - Sat. 11/9/24 (ANH-S #66, FTE #75) As a Hodgkin's Lymphoma survivor and a grateful beneficiary of their services in the past, this event supporting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society was a special one for me. Attendees received lanterns that indicated if they were a supporter (red), survivor or current fighter of blood cancer (white), or attending in remembrance of someone who was lost to blood cancer (yellow), and they had a full program of fun activities at a local park. It was tough to see so many kiddos who also had white lanterns, but it was nice to be able to share my story with our host and a few attendees, and for them to see that the Empire supports them in their fight!
