Which side should shins open on

Just wondering which side (in or outside of the leg) gets the cover strip on the shins. I think I saw one tutorial where the cover strip was glued to the inside half of the closure. Is this correct?

Hey Ben the outside half has the cover strip and it overlaps the inner.
