Frank75139[501st] Posted May 31, 2019 Report Posted May 31, 2019 Side hinge to help it open more like a clam shellSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
sharkbait[TK] Posted May 31, 2019 Report Posted May 31, 2019 I clam shell into my torso- I did it with black elastic and Centurion rivets. The other side is standard Tandy snaps. Definitely an advocate for the clam shell approach- one swift movement and your whole torso is on! Then I have my shoulder bell/bicep/forearm all connected, so I slip each arm on in one go. Very effective for quick in/quick out. What are your 1 - 5 pieces made of? Plastic or metal? 1 Quote

TK-42775[TK] Posted June 1, 2019 Author Report Posted June 1, 2019 Both are so very close. I do use a side hinge but its made of 2 in Nylon Webbing and ABS Strips. Quote
suttontech[TK] Posted June 20, 2019 Report Posted June 20, 2019 I suppose it would work on a full-size, but on my grandduaghter’s FN suit, I made a hinge just by lathering up a strip of nylon webbing with E-6000 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
TK-42775[TK] Posted June 25, 2019 Author Report Posted June 25, 2019 So update on this. Top pic was V1 V2 and 3 were all not installed Concept designs Drum roll Please (This is before I installed it, It works perfectly, takes me less than 10 sec to line the side up and pin in) The V5 As one of my GML's say I have one of the most overly complex Armor's, (Interior strapping and electronics) and I absolutely love it Quote
gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted June 25, 2019 Report Posted June 25, 2019 A lot of work but good on you for sticking with it. Anything seen from the outside? Quote
Harbinger[IPM] Posted June 25, 2019 Report Posted June 25, 2019 So it’s not an ab hinge... What is it for? Shins? Quote

Harbinger[IPM] Posted June 25, 2019 Report Posted June 25, 2019 Ah, from your earlier post I thought maybe it was something else. You’ll have to post pics of it in use. Quote
