msouza[TK] Posted March 9, 2019 Report Posted March 9, 2019 Hey Josh, Thank you for your EIB application, I will be going over it and to make sure all the required photos have beed submitted and then we'll proceed from there. 1 Quote
gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted March 9, 2019 Report Posted March 9, 2019 Nice work, just a couple of things you could improve on to really shine: You may want to add a little glue to the drop box straps a they don't appear to be aligned with the end of the belt in some images, also the right side strap looks a little short, should be a small gap between the belt and drop boxes, in the image below it is overlapping. You could also add a little white to your mic tips on the rims You could also remove a little of the grey paint on the gum area of your teeth 1 Quote
msouza[TK] Posted March 10, 2019 Report Posted March 10, 2019 Josh, Thanks again for your application for EIB & like gmrhodes says "just a couple of things you could improve on to really shine:" Before we get into details I would like to see a couple more photos. 1) The right side of the helmet, specifically the ear and showing all three screws 2) Thermal Detonator with a tape measure or ruler showing the lenght 3) Close up of the Ab buttons 2 Quote
alotmorestuff[TK] Posted March 10, 2019 Author Report Posted March 10, 2019 Thank you for the heads up on the drop boxes, and helmet adjustments. I'll work on that and get the other pictures posted in the morning.Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk 1 Quote

TK-42775[TK] Posted March 11, 2019 Report Posted March 11, 2019 Just a few things that I see, but i'm nitpicking (I got my EI with an Anovos kit) Large Ab button plate could use a trim, Your ears look Awesome, I'm guessing you had a hell of a time getting those to sit right. The over spray on the frown, (had same issue with mine) The grey paint should be confined to the actual teeth But other than that, it looks really clean, Should be an easy EI approval, best of luck to you 1 Quote

I'll definitely be cleaning up the paint a bit. Happy to work on this kit to get looking as good as it can, and need the feedback to do so. I laugh a bit when think about my helmet being a "heavily modified" Anovos.Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk Quote
TK-42775[TK] Posted March 11, 2019 Report Posted March 11, 2019 (edited) I still have to do mine........ My ID is TK-42275 apparently we are from the same batch........ Also here is a link to my EI Edited March 11, 2019 by James Whitley 1 Quote
msouza[TK] Posted March 11, 2019 Report Posted March 11, 2019 Hey Josh, Can you upload a close up of the crown on your helmet, the one thing I can’t tell from the photos is if the gray on the frown extends to the lip or if it’s just a shadow? (Anovos is notorious for this) but no worries nothing a little mineral spirits and a toothpick can’t fix . Take a look at the attached and you’ll see what we’re aiming for. justjoseph63[Staff] Posted March 11, 2019 Report Posted March 11, 2019 Nice work on this armor, Josh! We appreciate the additional photos, but can you post up one more? Please add one showing a close-up side view of your large ab button plate. Thanks!! 1 Quote
alotmorestuff[TK] Posted March 12, 2019 Author Report Posted March 12, 2019 After looking at the reference pictures you've attached, I went ahead and took off some paint. Here is the after photo of the helmet, and the before and after of the ab button plate. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk Quote
gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted March 12, 2019 Report Posted March 12, 2019 You could also take a little of the edges off your large ab plate and corners are not rounded 2 Quote
justjoseph63[Staff] Posted March 12, 2019 Report Posted March 12, 2019 Nice job on the paint fixes, Josh! Glen is spot-on in his suggestion for trimming the ab-button plate, and the small one should have square corners as well. As seen in the reference image he supplied, ideally the outside of the large one should be well inside the raised area. For a much better look, this is how I would suggest trimming it: 1 Quote

alotmorestuff[TK] Posted March 12, 2019 Author Report Posted March 12, 2019 Will have to get those plates trimmed tonight after work, didn't want to come off easily. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk Quote
msouza[TK] Posted March 12, 2019 Report Posted March 12, 2019 Great job on fixing the frown and ab buttons! And like others have suggested trimming the ab plate will also bring your kit to that next level. And as long as you used E6000 it should come off with a little persuasion. alotmorestuff[TK] Posted March 13, 2019 Author Report Posted March 13, 2019 Also corrected the Drop boxes on the belt. Realized I had glued the elastic near the tops of the belt, allowing to much movement. The elastic was glued, (closer to the drop box), and I changed the rivet on the overlapping box. Will post pictures tomorrow after the e600 dries. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk 2 Quote

msouza[TK] Posted March 15, 2019 Report Posted March 15, 2019 Again Josh great job on the fixes so far & we're almost there, just a couple more things. This could be a slight adjustment when putting your forearms on but ideally, the cover strips on the forearms/biceps could line up better. The ends of the TD clips should be square, not rounded. Reference image Onto your blaster, All Hyperfirm blasters seem to come a bit over weathered. Remember that things like grips, t tracks, and hengstler counters were all plastic and shouldn't have metallic weathering. Reference images Real Sterling grip 2 Quote
