Hello all,

I'm gathering supplies for my first build so I can start immediately on the kit when I get it. My question was, where would you veteran builders out there suggest I source my snaps from? I'm not sure if anything I'm looking at is genuine or garbage.

Side Note = Buy extra snaps. It took me 4 or 5 tries to get setting them right, Better to have too many than not enough

Tandy is the go-to in the US. line 24 snaps to be exact. They are strong snaps that won't come apart as you move.

James is right, buy plenty of extras.

Fasnap or DOT, Military and Marine grade and non corrosive. Slightly more expensive then Tandy but well worth the money IMHO. They also sell the setters

I 100% recommend getting the special pliers for the snaps of you can. Makes doing a snap a 5 second job.

I also have a set of the plier type that I use to start it, But I finish with the Punch type, for two reasons, due to there are spots the pliers cant reach as well as none of my snaps rattle from being loose.

100% agree. I think it may have been you that put me onto the Prym (?) products through one of your posts. Haven’t looked back since getting one of their tools.
