Whilst this artwork refers to the animated character it would seem logical the BS would follow suit in relative design and colour distribution. You can see what is black, grey and gold.

And this is the very problem we have with using toys as reference, the manufacturer is not bound to screen accuracy as we've seen with many toys. For reference I would stick to Darren's last illustration considering this is most likely what the CRL will be based off of.

Just noticed ab boxes and belts are very different between the animated version and the black series design.

The two have to be viewed entirely separately. The BS figure will just be a TFA repackage but will be interesting to see if the double shin boxes have been added (they appear to be), and whether the TD is different.

You’ll also notice differences in the Boots cover, and in the F-11D.

Given the costume won’t be approvable - for now - I would simply go with the version you prefer. For me, that would be the gold version of the BS / real world TFA Trooper.
