gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted October 14, 2018 Report Posted October 14, 2018 EVENT: JDRF One Walk LOCATION: Burswood Park DATE: 14/10/2018 TIME: 1.5 hours LANDSCAPE/WEATHER: Outdoors, heavy rain, light rain...some rain..no rain, sunny, windy ALL WEATHER TROOPERS: TK85421 - gmrhodes13 - Glen TK59226 - jezzapm - Jerry TD71976 - Bradnewland - Brad TD86557 - Volksjager - Jason TD98311 - Flocky - Peter WRANGLERS: Tex GA (galactic academy): Luke: Jawa REPORT: Upon arrival an alternate forward operating base was established closer to the front. Q and Jezza arrived in one transport and Brad just behind. Jason and Flocky moved to alternate meeting point. Getting changed the rain hit big time and we covered under Flockys lifted tail gate. The Jawa cowered inside the transport until the rain eased off slightly. We finished changing and headed to our area of operation. The jawa had already scavenged a blaster from somewhere. Disgusting creatures. We were greeted by the TNT dance troop (no one told us there was another troop in the area) warming up and a few Stormtroopers attempted to stretch out as well. The crowds were not as much as previous years and I'm sure that was the weathers fault. The jawa quit early, surely to scavenge things and raid a stormtroopers wallet. ($8 boost juice...WTF luke??) We tried to do a little dance but came up short. Ballet poses is all we could achieve. People were coming up and having lots of photos and we were appreciated by all. The weather was a bit windy and kept operating the mic's in the helmets. It rained some more we took shelter in the main tent next to a speaker that was also setting off mic's. There was many snap crackles and pops from the stormtroopers comms. The walk started and we moved to the start area and ushered the crowd through with plenty of "move alongs". A fast speeder was spotted and we attempted to service it much to the delight of the pilot. It was time to de-kit and move along ourselves but not before a coffee and hotdog. CHARITY: JDRF INJURIES: None ARMOR REPAIRS: Flocky's chest armour cracked upon removal where the elastic retaining clip is. HAPPY PEOPLE: Everyone UNHAPPY PEOPLE: None MISSION STATUS: complete: Sector cleared. REPORT BY: Flocky Mimicking cheerleaders They weren't impressed Quote
