Chubby thighs rear cover strip question

So trying to figure out what to do with my thighs. Front looks good but to make them fit in the back I’m left with an opening in the shape of a V. 

I know a lot of guys will go with larger cover strips, but the top of my V opening is about 2.5 inches wide and the bottom is about .75 and I’m worried that a 3 inch cover strip/shim will look terrible.

Im also not really confident in my ability to make abs paste and all of that. 

Im only going for basic approval, but I don’t want an eye sore.

If you can post a picture here maybe we can help to assess the situation better.

 

Making ABS paste is not really that difficult, the trick is you have to be really patient and let the paste cure fully before sanding.

In my opinion that would definetly be an eye-sore so do some shiming instead - you will so much more happy in the end
