shashachu[TK] Posted September 13, 2018 Report Posted September 13, 2018 This is for Centurion only, but looks like your left belt box is not quite aligned with the edge of the plastic belt. A dab of glue will probably hold the strapping in place. 1 Quote

There some reason to go for Centurion other than bragging rights? Quote
gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted September 13, 2018 Report Posted September 13, 2018 Nice fix with the tube stripes, looking good 1 Quote

CableGuy[TK] Posted September 14, 2018 Report Posted September 14, 2018 Knee Ammo Packs Rivet. Hi Aaron,Out of interest, do you have any further pics of your thigh ammo pack from different angles? I might be wrong, but, it looks like your pack might be a little short and attached to the wrong part of the thigh. Approximate positioning, if I’m seeing the parts I think I’m seeing. Ref Quote
ocmano[TK] Posted September 14, 2018 Author Report Posted September 14, 2018 This help? Might have trimmed the inside end too much? Made the ends even when I was working on it. If it's way off I can probably order a new ammo plate from AM and redo it.Sent from my SM-G955U1 using Tapatalk Quote
CableGuy[TK] Posted September 14, 2018 Report Posted September 14, 2018 Hiya. It’s not too easy to see exactly where the rear ridges are from this one shot. A few more angles would probably help a little. I think this is where they should ideally be going; This shot shows the rear ridges - the ammo plate is riveted near to these ridges. Hope that all makes sense. When you can, stick up some pictures from left, right, rear etc and we’ll have a proper look. :-) Quote
ocmano[TK] Posted September 15, 2018 Author Report Posted September 15, 2018 Here's some more pics.Sent from my SM-G955U1 using Tapatalk Quote
CableGuy[TK] Posted September 15, 2018 Report Posted September 15, 2018 Ah yes. Looks like they stop a bit short. Here’s a badly drawn example of where they would usually go. The front coverstrips look a little wider than the norm. Did you aim for around 20mm? (Rule of thumb, 15mm arms, 20mm thighs and shins, 25mm calves). Quote
ocmano[TK] Posted September 15, 2018 Author Report Posted September 15, 2018 Fronts were 25mm since its a bigger suit. I'm 6'1" and have pretty big legs so scaled the cover strips slightly larger. Sent from my SM-G955U1 using Tapatalk Quote
ocmano[TK] Posted September 17, 2018 Author Report Posted September 17, 2018 So submitted for basic, and looks like I need to redo the thigh slightly to taper it to the knee a bit tighter. I'll search around, but what's the best way to remove E6000 cover strips? I have exterior and interior cover strips I'll have to take off to trim the edges so I can get the taper. Pink lines in the picture. Quote
CableGuy[TK] Posted September 17, 2018 Report Posted September 17, 2018 I removed a coverstrip with a standard butter knife. Just take it slow and gently slide the knife to break the bond. :-) 1 Quote
LTM[TK] Posted September 17, 2018 Report Posted September 17, 2018 You can also use a piece of fishing string, just saw back and forth (like floss). Wrap the ends around a piece of wood (to use like a handle) 2 Quote
ocmano[TK] Posted September 17, 2018 Author Report Posted September 17, 2018 Knife worked great. Took off about 5cm from the bottom of the back, and now it tapers really well. Test fitted a couple times with blue tape, and don't think I should go any smaller.Trimmed up the back edge slightly as well for bit better movement with the calves.Drying again with e6000 then will put back in the interior strips after 12 hours.Hopefully ready to do follow up pictures for approval tomorrow night.Sent from my SM-G955U1 using Tapatalk 1 Quote
ocmano[TK] Posted September 18, 2018 Author Report Posted September 18, 2018 New Photos submitted with Tapered Thighs. Tighter Knee makes the ammo box look more correct, plus it seems like the thigh is more stable and not held up by the girder system so much. Probably could've set the Calf Velcro a bit better, but was in a bit of rush to get the pictures. 1 Quote

I know the QuestProps should ship in October, no idea when Praetorian Blasters will. Sounds like they are having some health issues and too many orders. 1 Quote
