Triplet99c Posted September 4, 2018 Author Report Posted September 4, 2018 WEELL I haven't really done much with my armor the past few days, mostly out of fear I guess ? Anyway, I asked a lot of people on Facebook about this and...I GUESS my right shin is correct? I just want to be absolutely sure before I start trimming anythingSent from my LGLS992 using Tapatalk Quote

Triplet99c Posted September 4, 2018 Author Report Posted September 4, 2018 It actually is my right leg, since the foot of my bed (where the blue comforter is) is on the left sideYes that would be your right shin, but you seem to have it on your left leg.Sent from my VK815 using TapatalkSent from my LGLS992 using Tapatalk Quote

Rat[TK] Posted September 4, 2018 Report Posted September 4, 2018 Ah I see. They look good then.Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk Quote
Triplet99c Posted September 4, 2018 Author Report Posted September 4, 2018 Thank ya, I will definitely be sure to test fit the other shin tomorrow and see how they look together. Maybe I can actually get something glued, who knows!Ah I see. They look good then.Sent from my VK815 using TapatalkSent from my LGLS992 using Tapatalk 1 Quote
Rat[TK] Posted September 4, 2018 Report Posted September 4, 2018 Well as long as you have the fronts measured properly for strips you should be able to glue them. You'll be trimming from the back. However you may need to shorten them a little too. Seems they're almost covering your knee cap, but could be the photo.Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk Quote
Triplet99c Posted September 4, 2018 Author Report Posted September 4, 2018 Yeah, it's up there quite a bit, can't bend my knee hardly at all. I'm thinking about trimming maybe half an inch or so and seeing what that'll doWell as long as you have the fronts measured properly for strips you should be able to glue them. Use a pencil and chopstick for marking your line.Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk Quote
Harbinger[IPM] Posted September 4, 2018 Report Posted September 4, 2018 Yeah, best to take it a little at a time. Harder to add it back (I learned the hard way!). Good job so far. Quote
Triplet99c Posted September 4, 2018 Author Report Posted September 4, 2018 Quick update before I start trimming! I I drew guidelines for myself on the bottoms of the shins. I was told to follow the curve, so I drew out the curve. I'm thinking cutting half an inch off and then seeing if it fits okay. Would I just cut along the line I marked?Sent from my LGLS992 using Tapatalk Quote

Yeah it goes slower, but you won't go too short.Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk Quote
Triplet99c Posted September 4, 2018 Author Report Posted September 4, 2018 Well, let's get cutting I supposeYeah basically that's all you would do, but as I said earlier small increments would be best. Triplet99c Posted September 4, 2018 Author Report Posted September 4, 2018 Cut off about 1/4 of an inch on the bottom of my shins. Though, considering I still can't bend my knee in it very well, I'm thinking I'll have to trim just a little bit more. Also, geez, how do you all align your pieces to tape them? The pieces keep shifting Sent from my LGLS992 using Tapatalk Quote
Rat[TK] Posted September 4, 2018 Report Posted September 4, 2018 This how I did mine, it helped hold them together and allowed them to open and close easily.Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk Quote
Triplet99c Posted September 4, 2018 Author Report Posted September 4, 2018 So many small updates today, ha! But, j got the second thigh taped together. Thinking I'm doing to half to trim a little bit more. I was mostly wondering if they're on the right side, which I THINK they are?Sent from my LGLS992 using Tapatalk 1 Quote
Triplet99c Posted September 6, 2018 Author Report Posted September 6, 2018 Shoot, I DEFINITELY have a lot of trimming to do. These thighs are swimming on me. They go over my knee cap, so I'm thinking I'll trim an inch off, so how it feels, and will definitely be trimming more later on. Sent from my LGLS992 using Tapatalk Quote
