Cameron_Kiesser Posted November 12, 2021 Report Posted November 12, 2021 Let's not forget the cheek area and back portion. Seems to be forgotten in a lot of fan art. Also, I'm really happy seeing all the mods, clips, figures and overall recognition of these guys this past year. Finally getting noticed. Disney NEEDS to recanonize this armor. Quote
Triton Trooper Posted November 12, 2021 Report Posted November 12, 2021 (edited) I think the gray it should be a lot lighter, just my opinion. Edited November 12, 2021 by Triton Trooper 1 Quote
Triton Trooper Posted November 12, 2021 Report Posted November 12, 2021 Heres a good video referance for those who dont own a wii since the wii has the updated graphics. 1 Quote

Cameron_Kiesser Posted November 13, 2021 Report Posted November 13, 2021 Considering Clone Troopers and most Stunt Stormtroopers have a spacing between the visor and head band, I believe the best route, at least for me, is to have a space between the visor and band. What do you guys feel about the spacing? Do you agree or do you like the visor and band touching? Thanks again for the files. I made a Blender render of the V2 helmet but since there are no textures it may be hard to see. 1 Quote
Triton Trooper Posted November 14, 2021 Report Posted November 14, 2021 I like it without the spacing since it stays true to the original, but that does look interesting. 1 Quote
Cameron_Kiesser Posted November 17, 2021 Report Posted November 17, 2021 I made a crude texture and a Blender turn table animation. I did not add the 501st color nor the vent stripes. Of course I credited everything. Colors are probably not accurate as well. I just wanted to add another gorgeous render to this thread. 4K, 60fps. 200mm render focal length, 300 samples. 1 Quote

Cameron_Kiesser Posted February 15, 2022 Report Posted February 15, 2022 It's been a while and my skills with Blender got better and tinkered with the helmets again. Still a WIP. 5 Quote
gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted February 15, 2022 Report Posted February 15, 2022 I take my hat off for anyone that can put together a 3D design, I've done some pretty basic stuff (add a hole, remove a section, cut) but my brain just isn't up to designing. Nice work Quote
Cameron_Kiesser Posted February 16, 2022 Report Posted February 16, 2022 FYI (assuming there may be a miscommunication) I only textured and rendered out the helmet. Thanks again for these amazing helmet models, DeltaReynolds, Skylu3D, Nico Henderson (Titanantinium). I'm not sure how I'm going to add the vents or the 501st markings in Blender accurately as I generally use procedural textures and the helmet is very high poly. I hope to have a nice full body model to render from some time this year. 1 Quote
Cameron_Kiesser Posted February 20, 2022 Report Posted February 20, 2022 I managed to notice that in edit mode the shape of the vents(?) were outlined because of how the model was made, so I selected the vertices and made a new material. New render, still chipping away at it. 1 Quote
Cameron_Kiesser Posted February 21, 2022 Report Posted February 21, 2022 I still have a ways to go but if I keep it up maybe in a month I could have a really nice mod, at the very least a nice render model. I added the black part of the mustache/mouth and then I whipped up a body. Am I missing anything model wise? Proportions could be worked on. I used DICE's assets and there are proportions issues and such. BTW any progress on the armor set? Can't wait to see it and hope everyone here is doing fine. 1 Quote
MegaMaster1021 Posted February 27, 2022 Report Posted February 27, 2022 Hello I recently discovered this thread and thanks to DeltaReynolds's model of the helmet I was able to make a reference sheet of this trooper design This probably won't mean much to anyone but I just wanted to give my thanks, it's nice seeing other people with the same passion to this trooper design 2 Quote
Cameron_Kiesser Posted February 28, 2022 Report Posted February 28, 2022 Here's another render Great turntable BTW. 1 Quote

Cameron_Kiesser Posted April 23, 2022 Report Posted April 23, 2022 Is there a mid poly or lower poly version of these helmets? I've been trying to get the helmet modded into Battlefront 2 but it's just so dang high poly and the way the helmet was modelled prevents the level of accuracy I would like to have. If not, I can find other ways. Thanks. Quote
Cameron_Kiesser Posted April 26, 2022 Report Posted April 26, 2022 Decide to hunker down and research more. I'm trying to figure out BF2's texture system and once that is done the body is a breeze. I managed to get it in the game. I'm so close. lol 1 Quote
Cameron_Kiesser Posted April 28, 2022 Report Posted April 28, 2022 More progress. The mod should be out in a few days assuming no world ending event. Quote
Cameron_Kiesser Posted April 30, 2022 Report Posted April 30, 2022 Mod is done!! I gave credit and linked to this website. Hopefully the mod manages to get pass the sussy files stage on Nexus. Anyway I want to say a major thank you to this little forum. https://www.nexusmods.com/starwarsbattlefront22017/mods/8108/?tab=files 2 Quote
jaztermareal Posted April 30, 2022 Report Posted April 30, 2022 Hi, long time lurker new member. Despite being an absolute noob I have been trying to make the armour parts for the phase 3 trooper. Here are the parts I have made (Most are remixes and I have today added my first scratch made parts). They are not gonna be super duper accurate but more accurate than any existing versions. Right knee ammo, codpiece, shoulder, belt and abs/belly plate: https://www.thingiverse.com/jaztermareal/designs 2 Quote
