CableGuy[TK] Posted December 16, 2018 Author Report Posted December 16, 2018 Troop #13 Christmas Fayre - Fordingbridge December 8th 2018 This was my final troop of 2018. I have family that live in Fordingbridge, a little town/village just outside of the New Forest, so it was lovely to give back to the community. The troop was actually a Rebel Legion UK troop with an invite for the UKG. As you’ll see, I was the only Imperial, but did have a Mando to help me keep an eye on those pesky rebels!! Photos courtesy of Michael Cullen (UKG and Rebel Legion) Met the lovely Ross Sambridge - Snoak body double and Wookiee in The Last Jedi and Solo, respectively. That’s all for this year. Thanks to anyone that’s read my troop log throughout the year. See you all in 2019. Best wishes Dan :-) 3 Quote
CableGuy[TK] Posted December 16, 2018 Author Report Posted December 16, 2018 Haha- funny seeing you beside the old Kenner TK. Would you approve that TK for basic? Haha.Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkHaha!! Yes - perhaps we need an armour maker to recreate this full size, then add it to the CRL. :-) Quote
Dracotrooper Posted December 16, 2018 Report Posted December 16, 2018 Never thought I'd see you compared to a vintage Dan - you win by articulation advantage! LolSent from my SM-G390W using Tapatalk 1 Quote

CableGuy[TK] Posted September 24, 2019 Author Report Posted September 24, 2019 Troop #15Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children - September 21st 2019Possibly the most rewarding troop I’ve attended. A small group of us were in attendance to bring smiles at their annual party for past patients. We were well received by the children with nearly all of them having a photo and meet and greet with us. After the event we were led back through the hospital to our changing area and met some lovely families along the way. So proud to have attended a troop at GOSH and looking forward to visiting them again soon. 6 Quote

CableGuy[TK] Posted December 28, 2019 Author Report Posted December 28, 2019 Troop #17 December 18th 2019 The European Premiere of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker - London’s Leicester Square I am incredibly grateful to have been selected to represent the UK Garrison at this event. I was one of 16 TKs, 8 TDs, 4 TIs and a whole host of other characters. We were also privileged to watch the media screening the day before. We were in constant contact with Disney and were asked by them to parade the Blue Carpet ahead of the celebrities’ arrivals. Credit on each photo, where applicable. :-) 7 Quote

CableGuy[TK] Posted October 1, 2020 Author Report Posted October 1, 2020 Troop #18 “Coffee with a Character” During these tough times for charities, (with many fundraising events cancelled due to Covid), it was great to see this event pop up. In usual times, Macmillan Cancer Support run a yearly Coffee Morning. This is where people have a bake sale of similar, at home or at their workplace, to raise money for cancer support. Obviously, this year is very different, so, they offered the chance for people to host a socially distanced or virtual coffee morning. As I have an okay-sized driveway, we went with the socially distanced option. We hosted the event on Saturday 26th September and offered cakes, cookies, teas and coffees for an optional donation. Thankfully, the social distancing was easy to maintain. Between 9:30 and 12noon we raised a wonderful total of £340 for Macmillan. :-) Here are a few pictures from the event. My very generous wife, making baked good and helping to serve teas and coffees outside. Here’s a little video troop log, too; Stormtroopers and cakes - Macmillan Coffee Morning (with added sprinkling of social distancing) 4 Quote

CableGuy[TK] Posted September 20, 2022 Author Report Posted September 20, 2022 #19 - Royal British Legion - 4 Kingdoms Adventure ParkWell, it’s been a LONG time since I posted here and that’s because it’s two years since my last troop due to a mixture of covid and bad health. But……I’m BACK!! Yay This weekend, I got back into the armour in aid of supporting The Royal British Legion (aimed at supporting veterans). We spent the day mingling with the guests and taking photos, and a fun day was had by all. This was only the second troop in this suit. Overall, it was great. Just need to add mobility cuts at the rear of the thighs. I don’t know how much was raised, but, the smiles on people’s faces, young and old, was enough for me. Here’s some photos from the day (I’m the short TK). Until next time, thanks for stopping by. :-) 6 Quote
