gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted February 7, 2018 Report Posted February 7, 2018 Don't seem to be able to access all your photos, I would suggest if you haven't to upload them to an online photo host then post the direct links to those photos into your thread. From those I can see, seems you have some black on the top of your boot on the left side photo, may need a dab of paint. Also a pretty big bubble on the right side cheek grey decal on your helmet.

Very strange. Boots could indeed use a lick of paint. Cheek tear is not a bubble, it was purposefully added to the buck and present on all RWA lids. Its a bulge in the abs and It’s painted. Will upload to Flickr and add the link.

All good, need to wear my glasses more often Could have just been my ISP, been inconsistent of late, seeing images fine now. You could make some minor adjustments on spacing but really doesn't look like much would hold you up for basic approval, good luck 1

I know I’ll have to sort shorter elastics for kidney to ab. What other spacing could use work? Cheers again.
Ripper_L[Admin] Posted February 7, 2018 Report Posted February 7, 2018 Only thing I can see: those boots look really short. Do you have something like a stirrup inside your shins? might help to draw them downwards. Other than that: great work on your armor! 1

Just little things, one hand plate is touching the forearm the other there is a gap, could bring the belt up a little, reduce gap between shoulder bells and shoulder bridges, reduce gaps around lenses on helmet, should have a small gap between belt and drop boxes, shoulder straps at back could be curved more to reduce gap between them and back plate, really just nitpicking, more for higher level acceptance, I'm sure you will be fine for basic approval 1
CableGuy[TK] Posted February 7, 2018 Report Posted February 7, 2018 Hi Tom,From one RWA Trooper to another, congrats on building a lovely looking set of armour. Especially for your height - you’ve fitted it really well :-)Just a couple of things I’d add (and these won’t affect basic clearance). TD screws could be replaced for pan head, slotted screws (I got mine from eBay for a few quid). Won’t affect basic or EIB. If you wanted, you could probably trim a little more of off the main belt. Again, shouldn’t affect clearance, just a suggestion. Ref the bump in the traps, I too wondered about these when I first saw the a RWA lids, however, closer inspection of screen used lids show signs of the bump. (Possibly a tad bigger on the RWA lids). There are now lots of RWA kits with EIB and Centurion so shouldn’t be a problem for you. Best of luck with your IWG clearance. Looks like you’ll have no troubles. :-)Best wishes,DanSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1
Harbinger[IPM] Posted February 7, 2018 Report Posted February 7, 2018 Good work Tom, I’m sure you are aware you will need to shin the gap between you ab and kidney plates if you opt for levels 2 and 3 (which you should!). Ross might be able to get you some shim material if you ask nicely so it matches your kit. 1
tom_betchley Posted February 7, 2018 Author Report Posted February 7, 2018 In my infinite moronity, I’ve posted this in the wrong thread. This kit has been cleared over a year, and I was going for expert infantry. How would I go about changing threads, or just start a new one on the correct thread? Wow. I feel stupid haha. My apologies. I suck at forums. Cheers.

You would be better off posting a new thread in the EI section, there are some extra photos and details you will need to provide also, link is here for info 1
