Bit more progress this morning...
Moving selector switch fitted and trigger guard test fit. I decided not to go with the electrical switch in Tino’s kit (sorry Tino ) but I felt digging the handle out enough to fit it and then rebuilding in green stuff was a little beyond my already limited skills! Do I leave the nobbly bit in the grip next to the selector as it is or is it replaced by something?2b482d721673afd15b162c90167a5033.jpgaebb5ea07f0933ab46c82d82784e4734.jpg

Hey Wayne - that round knob part next to the selector switch can be replaced with an acorn nut but most people leave it as is

That’s good enough for me! thanks Jesse!

Started work on the barrel next. Holes drilled where the sock goes, next job the hex bolts fitted (hopefully)1435ca32096d22e724888b1d46861d05.jpg95ef24f7f43ccee3d592e374a58d4ada.jpga82e081edc434b3adfa21795ef6d2e03.jpg

Very tidy work my friend. Are you sure you’ve not done this before? :-)

Haha...I promise I haven’t Dan, thanks for the encouragement! I’m currently trying to tackle yr idea of trimming around the t tracks to make them appear like separate components. My cordless drill just died too, waiting for it to charge now

Not quite as neat but definitely better. Gonna try hollow the ends out a litt too like u did to make it look like the tracks are actually going into the holes.fffff6a245d1fb82697c765a1dc8b31c.jpg

Wow - looks like you’ve separated the front sight parts really neatly. :duim:

The guard certainly looks fine. Lighting not great on the sight itself - probably fine but post some more angles when you can. :-)

Thanks Jesse...very kind of u. I’m thinking I might have to make a new sight block from scratch. The resin one looks too small for me to get a symmetrical finish to it? What do u guys think?c53ea80dd824a06e43da389ea7772909.jpged830ef9cf9afcfa20a292c4fa866645.jpg

Bit more work on the receiver today....drilled a few holes at the ends of the tracks to try give the impression that they go into the barrel and trimmed the ejection port to try give the impression that its separate parts.a1ffcf2039a0b265121ee5a0dedad9eb.jpga50d85635fb17e50e99655e73bec0c23.jpg

Great work, Wayne.

Re the front sight, you could pad that out with green stuff if you wanted. Whilst mine is far from perfect, I added green stuff to mine, then sanded it to the shape and size required. :-)

Maybe apply green stuff to your cut out sight block and shape to desired?

Need to get some more for when I do the scope...only got 16 and 22mm in my drill set . Well..,,that wasn’t easy! Took some hollowing! Trimmed the false bolts from the end of the stock, drilled for the replacements, hollowed the body out, drilled through the butt part and put a groove around it to give the impression it’s a separate part. Just need to make a hinge for the back end.90e4a36bf30ad6a50bc39c8604e74ef3.jpg02da460812f2484e13d5ac68fb27750f.jpg490ec0afa190aed9ceee4cda4b12801b.jpg1c8e23bf664adabbc21bcd1c09e3c18a.jpg45eaa69957b6f2c42f8d67b143884387.jpg8c2b183fdaae3dc1b8c257cc737acc16.jpg

Apologies mate - I read it as scope, not stock. As you have done, very neatly might I add, no need for spade bits for the stock. Great progress. Wayne. :-)
