Rat[TK] Posted August 19, 2018 Author Report Posted August 19, 2018 So now that I've been approved through my GML, still awaiting my official approval and TK-ID from the LMO, it's time to begin the electronics add one. Through the gracious heart of a fellow garrison member I now have this happy addition. Now to work it all out and get it installed.Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk 2 Quote
Rat[TK] Posted August 21, 2018 Author Report Posted August 21, 2018 Yes! Just received my TK-ID confirmation email. Tk-95970 reporting in now.Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk 5 Quote
Rat[TK] Posted August 21, 2018 Author Report Posted August 21, 2018 So yeah this is a sign I need to get to work on my blasters and small fixes for that EIB application.Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk 1 Quote
Rat[TK] Posted August 25, 2018 Author Report Posted August 25, 2018 Tote acquired and everything fits with a little extra room. Plus I think it might be enough extra that I'll be able to fit my DLT-19 in there if I can get it to break down.Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk Quote
Rat[TK] Posted August 30, 2018 Author Report Posted August 30, 2018 Got my fan system in and a power supply. Did a test run on the life span of the battery so graciously delivered to my by my boss. Well the results were from a full charge I got about four hours with about 15% left over and no heat build up little thing is a beast.Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk Quote
Rat[TK] Posted September 21, 2018 Author Report Posted September 21, 2018 Making some adjustments and fixes for my Centurion application. Replaced snaps on the butt plate and strap, added some of the Anovos supplied velcro to tighten up a couple of spots, made further mods to the belt by adding a small scrap of abs to stiffen up near the holster (no photo as it is gluing) and did some touch up paint on the vocoder. Rat[TK] Posted September 28, 2018 Author Report Posted September 28, 2018 Time for more upgrades I think. Removing the Anovos decals and repainting. These decals are a pain to remove and they seem to be textured. One side down one to go. Then it will be on to other parts, tear traps and so forth.Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk Quote
Rat[TK] Posted September 28, 2018 Author Report Posted September 28, 2018 I think that is enough decal removal for now. Now for the paint.Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk 2 Quote
themaninthesuitcase[Admin] Posted September 28, 2018 Report Posted September 28, 2018 The traps will more or less wipe off with some enamel thinners. I used humbrol. The hard paint to remove is the vocoder which really wasn't needed in hindsight. 1 Quote
Rat[TK] Posted September 28, 2018 Author Report Posted September 28, 2018 Yeah that is it for me I won't be repainting any more of it.Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk Quote
ukswrath[Staff] Posted September 28, 2018 Report Posted September 28, 2018 Looking good Rat, nice job so far. 1 Quote
Rat[TK] Posted September 28, 2018 Author Report Posted September 28, 2018 So some clean up is going to be needed and not sure if I need to fill in more of the trap or just thin down the outline.Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk Quote
tarok[TK] Posted September 28, 2018 Report Posted September 28, 2018 Firstly a belated congrats on your approval. Your build has become one of my go-to’s for my own glacial speed build What did you use to remove the decals? Also, DLT-19? Going HWT?Sent from my DH77 using Tapatalk 1 Quote

The DLT-19 is an alternate weapon for TK's, however at some point yeah I think I'll go HWT. For removal of the decals I just used a bit of paint thinner/mineral spirits and a bit of scrubbing.Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk Quote
gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted September 29, 2018 Report Posted September 29, 2018 Just a tip to prevent bleed through, paint with white first, if there any areas that may bleed then these will be filled with white. Once dry you can then go over with blue. Nice to see you updating, shame more don’t Quote

However when I went to clean it up it was apparently not dry and smudged everywhere.Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk 1 Quote
ukswrath[Staff] Posted September 29, 2018 Report Posted September 29, 2018 A little clean up and you're good to go Rat Quote
Rat[TK] Posted September 29, 2018 Author Report Posted September 29, 2018 This has been my bane all morning and into the afternoon. The more I try to clean it up the worse it seems to be getting.Sent from my 5054N using Tapatalk Quote
