Butt joining

Hey all,

 

I keep hearing the term butt joining the legs.  What does that actually mean?  Can it be done and still be 501 approved?

Butt joint is how the two halves are put together for ANH and ESB armor with coverstrips. ROTJ is put together over lap style.

 

It will take a little time but soon you'll get all the lingo down.:)
