ukswrath[Staff] Posted September 27, 2017 Report Posted September 27, 2017 Hey Kenton welcome. Andrew or myself will be with you shortly. While you wait please remove the paint from snaps on the ab and posterior, and the cod rivet head. Please add photo helmet right and, 501st legion policy discourages aiming weapons at children, no matter how adorable . Thank you for your patience and understanding. Quote

ukswrath[Staff] Posted October 2, 2017 Report Posted October 2, 2017 Hey Kenton sorry for the delay. Upon further inspection you'll need to make the following modifications to your blaster before we can move forward. For level two certification (if applicable): If using the Hasbro E11 toy blaster, it is modified to have the correct number of T-tracks (6 total), with a lower row of open vent holes on the magazine housing side. This is accomplished by covering the pre-existing rows of holes with T-tracks, then grinding off the lower integrated T-track on the magazine housing side, and drilling a new row of holes in its place. justjoseph63[Staff] Posted October 2, 2017 Report Posted October 2, 2017 Great job on that build, Kenton, and hopefully you will be aiming for Centurion after EI approval. For that, I would suggest removing all of the return edges on the wrist opening of your forearm as seen in photo 1 below, and although not a requirement, for a bit more "screen authenticity" you could add a few dabs of white paint to the ends of the hovi-mic tips, (photo 2). darthkenny[TK] Posted October 3, 2017 Author Report Posted October 3, 2017 Hey Kenton sorry for the delay. Upon further inspection you'll need to make the following modifications to your blaster before we can move forward. I have ordered a perfect blaster, I was hoping to sort out any issues with the armor while I wait for that to arrive. Sent from my iPhone using my thumbs 1 Quote

I had thought that little bit was meant to stay to keep it looking more even and smooth. Not sure about the paint tips though, feels like a trooper not taking care of his uniform who should report to the captain for reprogramming. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote

darthkenny[TK] Posted October 3, 2017 Author Report Posted October 3, 2017 Sounds good, we'll be here when you're ready. So even thought the blaster is optional I need to wait to find out the armor is right?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
justjoseph63[Staff] Posted October 3, 2017 Report Posted October 3, 2017 Blasters are not required for basic approval, but are for levels 2 and 3. What type did you order? 1 Quote

Since you already have a weapon that rule may not apply here. Quote

That's fine, I'm not trying to be argumentative and I don't really mind upgrading the blaster, especially as I have ordered a new one anyway. All I'm trying to do is politely request the other issues, like the textured part that needs cutting out of the wrist someone else mentioned (can't scroll back while using Tapatalk) or actually confirmation he is right before i irreversible cut that part out. I know you do this for love uskwrath, not money but it makes sense from where I am to identify all the issues at once, rather than one by one. Where I live, in New Zealand, delivery can take a long time. And some early morning web search suggests it might be a month or two for my blaster. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
ukswrath[Staff] Posted October 3, 2017 Report Posted October 3, 2017 All is good Kenton, what Joseph is referring to regarding the forearms is there can be no return edge on the wrist side, this is a requirement at Centurion. The Hovi tips being white at the ends is accuracy suggestion only, though it is highly suggested it be done for L3. That being said, neither of the two are EIB required. If EIB is your end goal than nothing else needs to be done. Hope this helps Quote

ukswrath[Staff] Posted October 11, 2017 Report Posted October 11, 2017 Hey Kenton thank you for your EIB application and thank you for updating your blaster, let's get you approved shall we.CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All the required submission photos have been posted. Your armor meets all the necessary requirements for level 2. With that Andrew and myself would like to welcome you to Expert Infantry, congratulations Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we review observations made by your fellow troopers and ourselves. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor. If any suggestion affects any application, it will be listed separately in the above or below sections. Clean build Kenton, nice! We have a few areas we'd like to mention to improve the overall look of your armor. These are either simple fixes photo corrections. These will have no bearing on any future approvals but when shooting for Centurion it is those tiny things that make a big difference. Lets start from the top and work our way down. 1. Vocoder: Anovos have made improvements detailing their helmets, but the Vocoder shape and edges still can use a little refining, to sharpen the shape. Reference Your shoulder bell to bridge gap can be brought down by shortening the top black elastic straps that connect the two. They should virtually if not touch at the very top. Reference Continuing down here we have what we believe is a simple photo issue. Cover strips should be facing forward, reward and aligned with the other limbs. While on the subject of alignment the height of the things should be the same, Your left thigh looks spot on whereas your right could come up a bit. Next up there should be little to no gap between the back and kidney plates. A simple strapping adjustment should remedy the issue. Reference And finally, the drop boxes should reside directly underneath the ammo belt no connecting strap visible. Simple strap adjustment should do the trick here also, Reference Centurion Suggestions:In this section we prepare you for Centurion. If there are any areas of concern this is where we discuss them. At this time we only see one area of concern. As mentioned by Joseph the wrist side of the forearm can have no return edge at L3. The CRL states: For level three certification (if applicable): No return edge on the inside of the front of the forearm is allowed. This area will need to be fixed before applying for Centurion. Reference Lastly, as stated in the CRL the Hasbro blasted is not accepted at the Centurion level. You'll have to replace it before applying for Centurion. CRL: For level three certification (if applicable): Hasbro blasters are not allowed, even conversions. Well that's it, excellent job with only minor adjustments and fixes, then you are ready to rock Centurion. Congratulations and we hope to see you in Centurion review soon. Quote
