Quarax Posted September 25, 2017 Report Posted September 25, 2017 I was wondering why they made that guy on the Shield Gate just a regular stormtrooper: Quote
Dragon_a[TK] Posted September 25, 2017 Report Posted September 25, 2017 Im not sure what book that is from? I don't believe that the spacetrooper featured at all in rogue one (or the visual guide). In fact, wasn't the shield gate officer a Navy Trooper (officer)? Quote
CrookKnight[TK] Posted September 25, 2017 Report Posted September 25, 2017 That is odd. There is a Stormtrooper with a Spacepack in ANH. However, I am not aware of one in Rogue One. Quote
11b30b4[TK] Posted September 9, 2019 Report Posted September 9, 2019 Hey guys, i did some research on this a while back. The slide show that Pablo Hidalgo was showing was before the visual guide was actually published. This picture was replace with the Crystal Patrol Duty pic. There was a plan to have two spacetroopers in RO but someone stole one of the backpacks the morning of shooting and so they were dropped from shooting. If you listen closely to Pablo, he explains this. 1 Quote
tuskentrooper[TK] Posted April 25, 2023 Report Posted April 25, 2023 The Spacetrooper is very briefly seen in Rogue One outside (in space) walking on the Scarif shield gate. 2 Quote

That's just Carl. He was new there and was last seen looking for the vending machines. 3 Quote

VaderFanLives Posted December 18, 2023 Report Posted December 18, 2023 (edited) He'd have a TD on his back belt which makes me wonder how it's interesting that they call the Thermal Detonator an "O2 canister". Was there official confliction over whether it was to be used as a short supply of breathable air (for smoke conditions, etc.. maybe a quick air lock situation) or as they settled on with making it a bomb like the "Artillery Stormtrooper" was loading into the launcher in "The Mandalorian"? Maybe a TD is both and the oxygen inside is used in the explosive qualities of the canister. Edited December 18, 2023 by VaderFanLives Quote
