Addertime[TK] Posted August 19, 2017 Report Posted August 19, 2017 Please see this thread: https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/11538-the-various-types-of-armor-and-where-to-find-them/ FX armor is generally a no-go these days. It may or may not be acceptable. You should consult you local GMLs before spending too much time on this suit. Quote
talem84 Posted August 19, 2017 Author Report Posted August 19, 2017 (edited) I was told by your administrator that fx armor was acceptable Edited August 19, 2017 by talem84 Quote
talem84 Posted August 19, 2017 Author Report Posted August 19, 2017 So I don't get it. I'm told by alot of people it is acceptable and some people tell me it isn't . Now I'm feeling like I got scammed . Quote
talem84 Posted August 19, 2017 Author Report Posted August 19, 2017 Type: FX Availability: No longer made. Do not buy this armor - we list it only for posterity in case you pick up a suit second hand from a current Legion member. Kit: ABS, trimmed, fan sculpt. Comments: The armor can be made to be FISD EI acceptable for about $50 and an afternoon of work. The helmet is not acceptable by any Detachment's program, and many GML's are no longer allowing it to be accepted at the Legion level. lol thats what that syas also Quote
magni[TK] Posted August 19, 2017 Report Posted August 19, 2017 FX is still approvable. But not the helmet. Just take your time in trimming and get a good fit and you should be fine. You could even get your EIB with FX. But no higher. Good Luck! Quote
gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted August 19, 2017 Report Posted August 19, 2017 As mentioned it is still approvable with some mods, but with costume approvals always check with your GML (garrison membership liaison) as he/she is ultimately the one going to be approving your costume. Lots of build threads have lost their photos since photobuckets new rules but there are still plenty of build threads to view which will show you how to make armor fit your size. You are basically starting from scratch so you will have to separate some pieces, trim and match to your size. Hopefully they used E6000 glue when the armor was first assembled, if they used some other permanent glue then you could be in some trouble separating the pieces. Some more photos of how the armor looks on would be good to see what needs adjusting Quote
talem84 Posted August 20, 2017 Author Report Posted August 20, 2017 (edited) As you can see. The armor itself was built for someone 100lbs more than me. It should be easy to tri. It down to size. It is mainly connected by Velcro straps. Edited August 22, 2017 by talem84 Quote
