justjoseph63[Staff] Posted August 7, 2017 Report Posted August 7, 2017 Looking great, Brock! Really nice job on that build, brother, and you should see and EIB badge under your name soon! I am hoping that you will be aiming for Centurion next, and would like to offer a few tips that may help... You may want to re-align (raise) the sniper knee plate so that the calf is not so visible (first pic). An easy fix if you use E-6000! Raise the kidney piece on the right hand side (pic 2) a bit to more align it with the ab plate. Change out the screws on your TD clips to the flat-head slotted type and paint them black. I will send you a set of the correct ones for free (including postage), just PM me if interested. Quote

Raising that sniper plate would be an easy fix, as far as the alignment of my kidney & ab plate, it normally does align. lol I can't believe I didn't notice it when going over my photos for submission...forest through the trees moment.. haha Quote

ukswrath[Staff] Posted August 15, 2017 Report Posted August 15, 2017 Alright Brock thank you for your patience and thank you for your EIB application. Also, thank you for removing the paint on your Ab snap as recommended by your fellow troopers. Let's do this. CRL and EIB Application Requirements:All the required submission photos have been posted. Very nice job on your build. Your armor meets all EIB requirements, Andrew and myself would like to welcome you to Expert Infantry Brock Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we review observations made by your fellow troopers and ourselves. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor and accuracy. If any suggestion affects any application, it will be listed separately in the above or below sections. Again, these are suggestions and recommendations. The accuracy is ultimately up to you. We have a few areas to go over so let's get to it. Starting with the helmet the Vcoder lines could use a little more definition as seen in the provided reference photo. A little touch up is in order in these areas here. Reference photo Hovi tip interior should be white as seen in the provided reference photo. We're recommending you paint this area. Reference photo Next is the shoulder ball gap. There should be minimal gap between the shoulder bells and chest/back plates. Definitely recommend tightening the top straps and removing more lower return edge to draw the bells in closer as indicated. Reference phoito Next we noticed the cover strips in the circled areas appear to be really wide. Cover strip width specifications are arms 15mm, legs (except calf) 20mm, calf 25mm. If your cover strip measurements do not match the specs we're recommending you correct them however, this is one of those areas if you run the risk of damaging your armor in the process it's up to you the trooper to decide if it's worth the risk. It will not effect any level of approval if you choose not to make the correction. Ab to kidney alignment should be parallel. The upper edges should be aligned with one another. We're recommending you make adjustments to align the two sections. Reference photos Waist belt sitting a little low on the right side. Though not bad we're suggesting you bring it up so that the upper belt resides at or lust below the lowest ab button. Reference photo Thermal Detonator retaining clip are a bit long and scraping against your posterior (butt) plate. The clips have specific measurements but roughly they should be 3", same as the cloth waist belt. We're recommending you trim these down. Reference photo Another minor issue is the TD screws should be flat head type and slotted. We're recommending you replace them with the correct screws when convenient. Reference photo Centurion Suggestions: In this section we prepare you for your Centurion application if you choose to apply. If there were any areas of concern they would be discussed here. We have a couple area that will need to be remedied before applying for Centurion. The CRL states the drop boxes should be aligned with the outer most edge of the ammo belt. Simply positioning the drop box connecting strap them gluing it to the cloth belt should keep them in place and aligned. *For level three certification (if applicable): Drop boxes are vertically aligned with the end of the ammo belt with minimal gap Apply glue here. Here's a reference photo And finally for Centurion your hand guards will need to be the flexible type. *For level three certification (if applicable): Hand guards shall be latex or latex-like, painted white, affixed to rubber gloves in lieu of plastic hand guards. Reference photo That's it, great job. Hope to see you at Centurion. Quote
gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted August 15, 2017 Report Posted August 15, 2017 Congrats and welcome to the ranks trooper Quote
Xandicus[TK] Posted August 15, 2017 Author Report Posted August 15, 2017 WOOOOT! Thank you very much! Those are all very easy fixes! TK10963( Joe )was kind enough to send me the correct screws for my TD! I already have the rubber hand plates, just haven't attached them yet. The abs/kidney alignment isn't a problem either..lol it had shifted, and I didn't notice before submitting the photos. Quote
ShadyP[TK] Posted August 16, 2017 Report Posted August 16, 2017 Congrats Brock! You look great and honestly, it's always a pleasure trooping with you. This is officially the motivation I need to get my EIB submission in. Quote
