Pyrates[TK] Posted May 22, 2017 Report Posted May 22, 2017 Right on Teresa, so happy to see you get that Centurion application in and many thanks once again for allowing me to be a part of the journey! Fist bump and a big old hug - rock on Miss ! 2 Quote
justjoseph63[Staff] Posted May 22, 2017 Report Posted May 22, 2017 WOW! Outstanding job, Teresa! GREAT work on the back/kidney and side connections. The only thing I could recommend (not a requirement) is to take a piece of sandpaper and rub the paint off the front of the hovi-mic tips, as seen in the photo below of a screen-used bucket. See you at Centurion soon! 1 Quote
Soulart[TK] Posted May 22, 2017 Author Report Posted May 22, 2017 Marc, there's these as well.... Frankly, I felt super cheesy in any action pose. I kept laughing in my helmet! Sheesh.... Sent from my STV100-3 using Tapatalk 1 Quote

Fist bump and a big old hug - rock on Miss ! Thank you for your help, time, and patience. Also your tolerance for my "Hey! Let's stay up all night and build armor" moments.... "Teresa..... It's 4:00am! Go to sleep...." "Ya ya... I know.... Let me just finish this one thing.... Oh hell! I forgot my forearm return Edges! I need to do them! " (Aaron does a face palm and eye roll...) See you at Centurion soon! OK!!!! 3:00 am, submission pics are finished, and I recall your suggestion to take down return Edge from forearms.... Pyrates says "If Joseph mentioned it, it must be done!" Alright then! Out comes the dremmel and sand paper! I'm on the 8 hour drive home, but once I'm home, I'll sand off some Paint on the tips and post you a photo!!!! Honestly, if that's all you see that I need to or could do, I'm feeling pretty excited!!!! Woot woot! Sent from my STV100-3 using Tapatalk 1 Quote
Soulart[TK] Posted May 22, 2017 Author Report Posted May 22, 2017 Awesome! I was going to post this as my "very camp action" shot, but never had the guts! Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk I'm giggling!!!! Out loud! And I love it!!!!!!! So much! Thank you for sharing that with me! Yes I was serious about submitting. And I felt uncomfortable pointing my blaster at the lens for a pic. And I just spent 2 days hiking in the mountains, legs were protesting..... so bending down in a super action pose was not appealing either! Aaron finally said "Just be you." Here I am. A woman in a set of armor. My gun may not fire, but I sure the hell can smack you upside the head with it at a moments notice! (And I won't miss..... I guarantee it!) Daetrin[Admin] Posted May 23, 2017 Report Posted May 23, 2017 Wow, you look great! The brow trim looks a wee low, but that's a personal nit. The fit on this armor is outstanding, truly. 3 Quote
starsaber25[Admin] Posted May 23, 2017 Report Posted May 23, 2017 Very nice Teresa! Your armor is looking very sharp. You and Aaron did a great job. You shouldn't have much of a problem here. Good luck with your application! 2 Quote

Thank you Paul! You know, to be honest, that is one detail I failed to double check in my pics. And I just noticed my darn ammo pack on knee had come down while trying the multitude of action shots! Soulart[TK] Posted May 23, 2017 Author Report Posted May 23, 2017 Awww crud! How did I miss that - my bad Teresa, I'm very sorryGood lord man.... It was 3:00am. We were focused on so many other vital parts of the requirements, we missed checking my eyebrows.... Purely esthetic. And something I always adjust before a troop. You know how particular I am when I armor up...I have a personal checklist I go through before I step out that door..... I'll have my brows all sleek next time my buckets on. Daetrin[Admin] Posted May 23, 2017 Report Posted May 23, 2017 No worries guys - that's what is always tough about these photos is that for Centurion it's sooooo easy to forget one small thing. When your forearm rotates a bit during a troop you don't mind so much, but at your photos they get picked apart, right? This is why I said it's a minor nit - I bet you'd fix it in 3 seconds and it's a non-issue. 2 Quote

This is why I said it's a minor nit - I bet you'd fix it in 3 seconds and it's a non-issue. It's SO So hard to get every detail for a pic.... When we submitted Aaron's, there was 2 of us looking and taking pics. And we still missed things and went back to take more pics. Maybe if we had drank more coffee.... So focused on requirements, and perfect pics getting everything they need to see , one just overlooks a seemingly minute detail ... Grrrr. It's frustrating. I think I should make a visual/photo checklist up for all those that take the pics for our EIB and Centurion hopefuls! The list within the list!!! HA! When I get home and scratch up my mic tips, I could re do my helmet pics too! It's not a big deal to do that that at least does not require the help of another human Quote
Daetrin[Admin] Posted May 23, 2017 Report Posted May 23, 2017 Actually, there are visual checklists. Are they not stickied yet? Quote
Soulart[TK] Posted May 23, 2017 Author Report Posted May 23, 2017 Actually, there are visual checklists. Are they not stickied yet?Oh there's a Centurion photo check list. I followed it to the T. I meant one for ones poor Photographer taking pics, trying to notice every detail Sent from my STV100-3 using Tapatalk Quote
Soulart[TK] Posted May 23, 2017 Author Report Posted May 23, 2017 Ugh. It's just so hard to get everything right at one time! It's nerve wracking! Sent from my STV100-3 using Tapatalk Quote
Soulart[TK] Posted May 23, 2017 Author Report Posted May 23, 2017 I agree, even after making sure my trim is pushed up, I could have a tiny bit more clearance there. Couple mm. For look wise. Not for vision or functionability though. The eyeline is barely manageable at the moment as my bucket sits. And lifting it would have it come lower on my chest. I already can't move my head and have helmet move with me and see out eyes. I suppose I could hack my helmet dome portion down some. That would help. (I'm going to look into this) I referenced dozens of shots of canon pics last night and they are all so varied on distance over brow. Some sit at, just on, Some overlap. Some look like they have an inch above! A few look like pirates. Nothing is consistent, so it must be their sizing of their respective heads in the actors that dictated placement or distance. ??? Maybe?? I think I need new lenses too...... Anyone ever get their glasses prescription put into a set??? Sent from my STV100-3 using Tapatalk 1 Quote
