Darknoize Posted May 13, 2017 Report Posted May 13, 2017 (edited) For the thigh armor, can I extend the cover strip length to cover the bottom inch or so, over that little hump? My cuts ended up being sloppy and I dislike the visible seam of the butt joint. I have an ATA Shadowtrooper. Edited May 13, 2017 by Darknoize Quote
magni[TK] Posted May 13, 2017 Report Posted May 13, 2017 You could and hope the GML doesn't pick up on it, but that wouldn't be accurate and would hamper you going EIB and Centurion. How bad can it look? Posting a picture could show us. Quote
humperdingle Posted May 13, 2017 Report Posted May 13, 2017 You could always trim a scoop out of that area. Entirely screen-accurate Quote
humperdingle Posted May 13, 2017 Report Posted May 13, 2017 Like this or maybe not so severe... Quote
magni[TK] Posted May 13, 2017 Report Posted May 13, 2017 My Bad! I instantly thought front. The scoop is totally screen accurate. Quote

Darknoize Posted May 14, 2017 Author Report Posted May 14, 2017 Here is a pic of the 3 seams, 2 front and the back of one. Does a TX need to follow the rules of a TK? Would just putting black abs behind the gap be enough of a fix? Quote
magni[TK] Posted May 15, 2017 Report Posted May 15, 2017 Yes it's the same rules for both. It's not that bad since one thigh gets ammo pack and back can be crescent cut. Leaving one. Which you could undo innerstrip and close more or live with it. You are wearing a black undersuit anyway. It would be hard to notice. 1 Quote
Darknoize Posted May 16, 2017 Author Report Posted May 16, 2017 I forgot about the ammo pack lol. Cool, thank you all for your input everyone. I will just pull the inner strip and retry. I may need to shave 1mm off the strip, but I don't think it will be noticeable. Quote
Nagedzi[TK] Posted May 16, 2017 Report Posted May 16, 2017 Make a little strip to join the back of the raised portion and then make some ABS paste from your scraps and fill any remaining gaps from the back. If you really need to, put some ABS paste on the front, too.... Quote
