as I was researching everything I could on building a stormtrooper, I found that the lead times were up there especially with Anovos,

then a post was put up in my garrison 2 weeks ago that a user who just received his Anovos brown box and after waiting 9 months had lost interest.

so i answered the post and drove up from tiny Rhode Island up to New Hampshire that weekend to pick it up alone with TK boots that were exactly

my size and a resin E-11 blaster.

I am following ukswraths forum and themaninthesuitcase and watched TK-1636 on youtube.

Welcome to the FISD Robert! The hand plates should look about a 1/4" thick. Glad to see you started a build thread.

completed my TD,  I used my Dremel to grind down the ends so that I could get the TD down to 7.25 inches.

I painted the tube in Gunship Grey Testor #1923 (spray paint) picked it up at Hobby Lobby.

I found the black pan head screws in my father-in-law's workshop so didn't have to paint them at all.

I started to paint the Ab Plate and found there is a difference on the Gray paint,  the Testors #1138 is very light compared to Humbrol #5

below you can see the difference.

You're doing great here and you're following some great threads. I followed the same people's work and made it all the way to centurion. You can do it too. Looking forward to seeing this all come together for you.

You are doing great, keep it up. I didn't see it in your pics, but Anovos didn't quite finish the paint on the frown. So if they didn't do the "ends" you might want to fix that for a cleaner look.

Keep chugging away and you will be there in no time.

thanks, I am slowly putting it together.

I know about the frownDSC_0116.JPG.3ae346ec5caed257737bbecdbe4f75d4.JPG, did put one in there.

Great to see that you replaced the belt and ear screws, Robert!  Anovos gets a lot of things right, but for some reason they continue to make those crappy belts and put the "wrong" ear screws in.  The holster they provide is actually quite good.. made of thick leather and fairly easy to slip your E-11 in with not a lot of trouble.

With all that extra work it looks like you are headed towards level 3, which is awesome!  If we can be of any help, just say so and keep up the great work!

Thanks Joseph,  well going over the post of Ukswrath, Anovos does bring a person to the basic level. but doing research finding out a lot of what is needed to be EIB and eventually Level 3,  is a lot of fun and enjoy it.  I found though research the silicon hand guards from you that I am now using which look great.

I used E6000 to attach the Silicon hand guards to the gloves.
