TK3376[TK] Posted January 5, 2018 Author Report Posted January 5, 2018 I'm back after a long time, sorry guys ! So, biceps are done after some sanding and cleaning ! Now, same thing for the arms ! one pair in normal size (the other one will be assembled with bigger cover stripes). Quote
TK3376[TK] Posted January 5, 2018 Author Report Posted January 5, 2018 (edited) little paint job ! Just need to glue them on the AB plate. Edited January 6, 2018 by TK3376 1 Quote
TK3376[TK] Posted January 5, 2018 Author Report Posted January 5, 2018 Little work with the inner drop boxes from Joseph. They're perfectly fit the drop boxes. Adding the white elastic with rivet (and some E6000 under it) Quote
TK3376[TK] Posted January 5, 2018 Author Report Posted January 5, 2018 The second kidney armor need to be extended. My old AP kit was not made with larger size, so i was to be imaginative. This is my technique : I used a rectangle piece of ABS a bit longer that the kidney where i glued a little stripe (with the red mark). This stripe will serve to have a round edge (90°) after heating to fit perfectly to the kidney. Now, i just need to cut the excess and glued to the kidney (where i already glued an other ABS piece in the inside). after that, i will cut the edge like this : 1 Quote

TK3376[TK] Posted January 8, 2018 Author Report Posted January 8, 2018 Now, the helmets : First, inside with matt black paint spray for both (just one pictured) after, holes for ears and openings for eyes and nose Quote
TK3376[TK] Posted January 8, 2018 Author Report Posted January 8, 2018 Nose is done, and ears too ! it's the most difficult part of the helmet i think. I've cut off little by little to fit the ear to the helmet perfectly (or the best that i could do !) Here, helmet finished with ears and trim : ok, 1 helmet done, next : Quote

TK3376[TK] Posted January 9, 2018 Author Report Posted January 9, 2018 (edited) I already said that i worked on two AP kits in 2 different sizes ! For me, the most difficult part is the legs. They must be adjusted very well, and stay comfy, to move freely. For my sandtrooper armor, i can go upstairs, bend or even sit down. So, my thighs will be thin, and the others, well... bigger ! and some adjustments will be made. Here is the first thigh, mine, with 2cm stripes on front and back. you can see the back, i've cut off almost 5 cm to fit to my leg ! Edited January 9, 2018 by TK3376 Quote
TK3376[TK] Posted January 9, 2018 Author Report Posted January 9, 2018 One of our 2 kits is ready now ! The bigger one was for Beamishgunn and is validated !!!!!!! So happy for him. It was a real challenge to be ready for the last jedi premiere. I just don't had the time to post all the progress on his armor until now ! So, i will try to do this in the next days. AND, of course, finish my armor now ! because i was concentrate on his kit, i didn't finish mine. 1 Quote
TK3376[TK] Posted January 10, 2018 Author Report Posted January 10, 2018 (edited) First, i cut off the cover strips and the excess ABS of the thigh to fit correctly : I had a snap inside the thighs and heat a little the back : And finally glue with E6000 the back cover strip : Edited January 10, 2018 by TK3376 1 Quote

TK3376[TK] Posted January 10, 2018 Author Report Posted January 10, 2018 (edited) for the sniper knee plate, i had a problem... See pictures below, if you glue the both parts of the shin together correctly, and put the sniper knee in place, well... you can see that it will not be straight, not aligned with the shin's edges ! so, i undo what i did ! (just one side of the shin) thanks E6000 ! strong and, in the same time, not very difficult to remove ! so, i glue them together slightly moved, just enough to have the sniper knee almost aligned ! the lower shin will be cut off to be aligned with the other side on the front. For the back, hopefully, after a try on my leg, the alignment did it on his own and seems to be "normal" ! Edited January 10, 2018 by TK3376 Quote
TK3376[TK] Posted January 10, 2018 Author Report Posted January 10, 2018 and now it's much better : I can glue it (center first) Quote
