TK3376[TK] Posted April 10, 2017 Report Posted April 10, 2017 (edited) Hello bros & troopers, I'm Fab, not really a total noob here, but not an expert either ! My first built was in 2003, with a FX armor ! A long time ago... Building armor is now completly different, CRL are more accurate, details are more important ! So, i will need some precious advices in my new adventures, especially for an EIB or centurion level ! My armor is an old AP (2009) without some adjustments who exist now on the same kit: - AP Armor Kit (partialy Trimmed) from Mark AP - Rubber Gloves from... i don't remember - Neckseal from Stormtrooper undersuit - Holster from bmlt1138 (ebay) - Canvas Belt from Mark AP - TD Clips from germany (ebay) - hand guards and rivets from Joseph - Boots from Imperial Boots i started to work on this kit some years ago, with some mistakes... and life have some reasons, this armor stay in a box for a long time. But now, i'm ready to work ! And, if it was not easy enough, i build 2 AP kits in the same time ! Actually, I had a second kit (for my wife originally), and i'm working on it for a friend ! But he's a little bigger than me, so, some parts will be adjusted or extended. I begin with the AB plate and many snaps and rivets ! Edited August 20, 2017 by TK3376 1 Quote
TK3376[TK] Posted April 10, 2017 Author Report Posted April 10, 2017 (edited) I use rivets from Joseph ! They looks great ! Edited July 11, 2017 by TK3376 photo missing 1 Quote

TK3376[TK] Posted April 10, 2017 Author Report Posted April 10, 2017 I don't have the blaster yet. I see that Hyperfirm have some runs of E11 B grades ! Are they good enough for EIB or Centurion level ? 2 Quote
TK3376[TK] Posted April 10, 2017 Author Report Posted April 10, 2017 (edited) Two snaps on the posterior armor, OK. Posterior, kidney and back armor with some snaps, OK. Working on rivets Edited January 4, 2018 by TK3376 new photos added 1 Quote
TK3376[TK] Posted April 10, 2017 Author Report Posted April 10, 2017 (edited) All snaps and rivets with back and front armor. Almost done on the second kit. I need to extend the kidney before to add rivets. Edited January 4, 2018 by TK3376 new photos added 1 Quote
TK3376[TK] Posted April 14, 2017 Author Report Posted April 14, 2017 (edited) This is my old assembling ! I think it's not the good way for an ANH armor, right ? So, is this the correct assembling ? Edited January 4, 2018 by TK3376 new photos added 2 Quote
Kredal[TK] Posted April 22, 2017 Report Posted April 22, 2017 Hey Fab! Surprised you haven't gotten any comments here, but then I remember Celebration, and suddenly not so surprised. (: The overlap method is not right anymore, so the coverstrip in your last two pictures is perfect. Nicely rounded edges will help to keep it from digging into your arm too. Hyperfirm B-grade blasters are good for EIB/Centurion, but you'll have to add the D-ring to the back. There's a spot for one, you just have to drill very carefully into the part where the D-ring goes, and add it in yourself. So far, it looks like you're on the right track, though! You've obviously been doing your research! (: 2 Quote

Toddahhhh[TK] Posted April 23, 2017 Report Posted April 23, 2017 It goes under the strap facing down, the plastic shoulder harnesses hide it all. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote

TK3376[TK] Posted April 30, 2017 Author Report Posted April 30, 2017 (edited) a very busy week at work, so, no time for building... Just some few things today ! Belts are ready ! Just a little question to be accurated : To attach the belt, i use some chicago screws (1). I received some other type of them with the holster (2). My question is, which one is correct ? 1 or 2 for centurion ? Edited January 5, 2018 by TK3376 new photos added Quote
TK3376[TK] Posted June 8, 2017 Author Report Posted June 8, 2017 (edited) I'm back ! I'm working on the arms, with biceps first. cover strips are 1.5cm Mine are easy, they fit perfectly with the 1.5cm cover strips on front and back. For the the second kit, it's different, because my friend is a little bigger than me. So, can i use a 2cm strip on front of the bicep and a 2.5 or 3cm in the back to have more place ? Is it still valuable for EIB or Centurion level ? Edited January 5, 2018 by TK3376 new photos added 1 Quote
bobafret[TK] Posted June 8, 2017 Report Posted June 8, 2017 I just wanted to comment about how beautiful that bicep job looks. That is really fun to look at. So clean and pretty. You are going to have some NICE armor. 1 Quote

zv288bot[TK] Posted June 8, 2017 Report Posted June 8, 2017 I'm back ! These last weeks, i was very busy (job, family and working on my sandtrooper backpack !!). So, i'm working on the arms, with biceps first. stripes are 1.5cm Mine are easy, they fit perfectly with the 1.5 stripes on front and back. For the the second kit, it's a different. My friend is a little bigger than me. So, can i use a 2cm stripe on front of the bicep and a 2.5 or 3cm in the back to have more place ? Is it still valuable for EIB or Centurion level ? It's perfectly fine to go with standard size cover strips in the front and go with bigger strips in the back. Keep rockin it! Quote
