TK3376[TK] Posted January 10, 2018 Author Report Posted January 10, 2018 for a better move, i cut off a little part of the back thigh behind the knee. I tried to keep the same angle of opening in the thigh than the shin : a little sanding and it's done ! 1 Quote
TK3376[TK] Posted January 10, 2018 Author Report Posted January 10, 2018 almost done ! Here a comparative picture of the shin with sniper knee plate. The smaller one need to be completly rebuilded ! I made it some years ago without butt joint method and the sniper plate was attached with visible rivets... but that will be difficult because i glued it with cement glue... 1 Quote
beamishgunn[TK] Posted January 10, 2018 Report Posted January 10, 2018 One of our 2 kits is ready now ! The bigger one was for Beamishgunn and is validated !!!!!!! So happy for him. It was a real challenge to be ready for the last jedi premiere. I just don't had the time to post all the progress on his armor until now ! So, i will try to do this in the next days. AND, of course, finish my armor now ! because i was concentrate on his kit, i didn't finish mine. I’m impressed, Bro, having lived it first hand and seen the amount of work that has gone into this....and for a friend at that!!!!!!!Bless you Fabulus!!!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1 Quote

Albaz Posted February 6, 2018 Report Posted February 6, 2018 Congrats! However, for EIB and Centurion I think you are going to have to glue a new button plate: you trimmed them to much and you are left with no lip. It should actually look like this (see left). I know cuz I made the same mistake and had to correct it. Quote

Maybe i can just add a little piece of ABS behind to have this 5mm edge ! Thanks for the advice ! Quote
TK3376[TK] Posted February 7, 2018 Author Report Posted February 7, 2018 (edited) At this time, we are both validated TK, and Beamishgunn is just validated as EIB ! So, my turn now ! After the last troop, i see many things to fix or change on mine. First change will be on the arms ! they doesn't fit me correctly : they are to big (or am i to thin...) So, i cut off a little part and reglue to the cover strip the other like this : - first i cut in the biceps - i removed from the cover trips the little excess I will glued them again together tonight... storm85 by fab TK3376, sur Flickr Edited February 7, 2018 by TK3376 Quote

gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted February 7, 2018 Report Posted February 7, 2018 Nice work, I'm on the skinny side and found even with trimming to the minimum sizing I also had to add some foam in places, really helps stop pieces clanking around 1 Quote
