SlyFox740[TK] Posted June 17, 2020 Author Report Posted June 17, 2020 (edited) Well it looks like the Rogue One E-11 was also used in The Mandalorian show in addition to the SOLO movie. M-300 Flashlight accessory is missing here. IG-11 holding his E-11 complete with Flashlight. Another Stormtrooper, this screenshot is mirrored as the original footage was flipped horizontally, as seen below. One of the 501st troopers who was invited to help out on set is briefly seen onscreen holding one of those plastic toy/costume accessory stormtrooper blasters from Rubies. As you can see he is wearing ANH Stunt armor, as opposed to the new Disney era Stormtrooper armor from Rogue One & SOLO that is typically seen in The Mandalorian. He is also holding the Rubies stormtrooper blaster, as opposed to the Rogue One E-11 prop that is typically seen in The Mandalorian. Rubies Stormtrooper Blaster painted black. These are actually allowed for basic approval with some modifications, and the E-11 in the Rebels cartoon is based on this toy. So Disney had actually used this blaster design on screen already albeit in animated form. Edited June 21, 2020 by SlyFox740 Quote
Parquette[TK] Posted March 17, 2022 Report Posted March 17, 2022 Curiosity question: The ANH blasters had a visible recoil spring in the slide channel, whereas the R1 blasters had a simpler designed spring. It appeared as more of a curved steel piece. Now that being said, the R1 blasters don't actually have that since they're injection molded rubber/or resin, but the CRL allows for flexibility on the types of E11 base used. Am I correct in stating that if an E11 had the recoil spring present from ANH, that it'd be allowed? Or is that more of a grey area to venture to? The spring isn't mentioned in there, and considering we allow the Airsoft spring to be present on a prop with a non-hallowed out slide groove, then I'd say it'd be at least a possibility? Quote
Sly11[Admin] Posted March 17, 2022 Report Posted March 17, 2022 At this stage it is a bit of a grey area. Not something we have really looked to address, more to the point, we have focused on having the correct attachments and more major differences outlined. We can go down the route of deeper investigation of the blaster later in the term, like we are with the TFA/TLJ FO trooper blasters in the current upgrade to those CRL's. Quote
