Icomm constant clicking

During a troop today, my icomm decided to start clicking constantly. Went back to the changing area, fiddled with it for a bit to no avail...

 

Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone know what it is?

Some of us can't access those batteries locally so we mod for an external AA 3.7V, has worked great for 2 years.

I should do this to my icomm also. I already have the parts, just need to double check my rechargeable batteries.

How long does the battery last?

Really depends on how long you troop and how often, I've not kept a record but I gave mine a recharge after 6 months just in case as I was going to a 2 day con.

 

You can purchase the batteries with a charger, I use the same batteries for my E-11 electronics so always have spares charged just in case any go flat.
