Stormy3D Posted March 21, 2017 Report Posted March 21, 2017 Hey, guys! I am currently working on a helmet, but I need a frown mesh. Unfortunately, I have no window screen I could cut up, or anything like that. I wouldn't want to buy a whole window and just use a fraction of the screen. Do you guys have any ideas where I could buy the mesh or something else I could use? (That still has airflow, of course) Thanks! Quote

Locitus[Admin] Posted March 22, 2017 Report Posted March 22, 2017 You don't need a frown mesh, strictly speaking. It's just something most people put on. Quote

trooper1[TK] Posted March 23, 2017 Report Posted March 23, 2017 True, you don't need it. But! In a crowd of people taking pictures, it helps a bunch not getting seen through the teeth. Quote
The Anonymous Egyptian Posted March 26, 2017 Report Posted March 26, 2017 I made mine out of a cooking mesh and some broken tights Sent from my 5022X using Tapatalk Quote
Rob .T .[TK] Posted March 26, 2017 Report Posted March 26, 2017 It's not screen accurate, and just isn't right in my opinion. If you wear a balaclava nothing shows anyway . Quote
tkrestonva[TK] Posted March 26, 2017 Report Posted March 26, 2017 I've also found that screen mesh restricts air flow and as a result makes it even hotter inside the helmet. Removing the screen mesh and going with bare teeth + balaclava both hides your face and permits better airflow in/out the helmet. Quote
