gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted March 12, 2017 Report Posted March 12, 2017 (edited) DSS TROOP REPORT EVENT: Teddy Bear's Picnic LOCATION: Perth Zoo DATE: 12th March 2017 LANDSCAPE/WEATHER: Cloudy & Humid outdoors, with a downpour and thunderstorms in the afternoon TROOPERS: Q - TK 85421 LIZ - TB 13310 JERRY - ID 59226 WAYNE - TB 20074 STUART - SL 51164 PETER - TK 98311 SINEAD - TI 22414 LUKE - IC 36367 WRANGLERS: Marie Em REPORT: Upon arriving just before 10:00 I met Peter and his family and he showed me where our changerooms were. Moments later we were joined by Sinead and Wayne and we all chatted, got changed and headed out to the main lawn area. Immediately we were swarmed by happy people with teddy bears for photos. On the way we saw Liz, Glen, Jerry, Stuart, Em and Marie heading toward the changeroom. After a short while I headed back to the changeroom to make sure our groups knew where we each were, and we all headed back to the lawn to join up together. Our teddies seemed to please the children. After a while of patrolling the main lawn area, we attempted to have a group photo, only to be faced with another wave of happy families keen for photos. Stuart was most popular, so the rest of us had a few group photos. We wandered around the lawn for the rest of the afternoon, alternating in groups taking breaks At some point Peter left to wander with his family, and had a photographic adventure of his own with many people around the Zoo asking him for photos while we were all on break With the muggy weather it felt pretty draining. Wayne left early just before we headed out one last time after taking a reasonable break all together and mainly stayed around the entrance/pond area and had photos with people on their way out of the zoo. Liz, Sinead and I walked toward the lawn, and then back to everyone else as the lawn area was much less busy. Thunder and lightning began to make themselves known, and close to 2:30 it started bucketing down. So as the weather matched Dromund Kaas we all went back to the changeroom, called it a day, and had an indoor picnic. INJURIES: N/A ARMOR REPAIRS: Stuart's Vader wires were not responding correctly, and also kept falling to visible positions HAPPY PEOPLE: Essentially everybody UNHAPPY PEOPLE: A little girl who was scared of Liz, then turned around to see everyone else, so ran back where she came crying. Her parents, us and all spectators were very sorry, but very entertained. MISSION STATUS: Complete REPORT BY: Luke Maras - IC 36367 Edited July 22, 2021 by gmrhodes13 photo updated 1 Quote
