Since it is difficult to show how the boxes are lined up when worn, I had to press down on the belt to illustrate that the drop boxes are lined up with the ends of the belt. I appreciate your time reviewing my EIB submission. Thank you for your consideration! Edited March 5, 2017 by Cricket 3 Quote

Haribon72[TK] Posted March 7, 2017 Report Posted March 7, 2017 Hello Christine, this build has been a labor of love and thank you for sharing a build thread. I don't have much to add, but did notice the helmet dome trapezoids can be filled in a little more - giving a solid look in preparation for Centurion. Just need to extent the grey out (just a tad) and then finish up with a new black outline border. I have redone several dome trapezoids and used these references below. Hopefully it won't be too bad to fix and you can pass EIB easily. Good Luck and see you at Centurion forums soon. 1 Quote
ukswrath[Staff] Posted March 9, 2017 Report Posted March 9, 2017 Hey Christine, thank you for applying for EI. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All the required submission photos have been posted. Your armor displays all the necessary elements to qualify for Expert Infantry. Welcome and congratulations! You're EIB #700!! Oh, and beautiful job on your build also. Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we review observations made by your fellow troopers and ourselves. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor. If any suggestion affects any application, it will be listed separately in the above or below sections. First off again, excellent job on your build, very nice work. In the pursuit of perfection we have a few minor areas we're suggesting to enhance the accuracy and overall look of your armor. The first area we noticed was the tear and trap details. The paint lines should extend to the edges of the indents. Here's some reference photos Another area is the lower ear screw is offset quite a bit, technically it should be directly under the upper screw. It's not a deal breaker but definitely worth mentioning. Reference photo Waist belt ammo belt corners should be aligned with the cloth belt edge. In your case we're not sure what can be done without damaging the ammo belt itself. If you can safely remove the mounting covers, move them back a little then re cut the belt this might help with the alignment. The accuracy of your armor is ultimately up to you the builder. Reference photo And finally the sniper knee should parallel the armor, a little trim here should do the trick. All these little adjustments will improve the overall look of your armor. Reference photo Centurion Suggestions: In this section we prepare you for Centurion. If there were any areas of concern they would be discussed here, and we have nothing to add. Excellent job on your build Christine, hope to see you at Centurion. 2 Quote
Cricket[TK] Posted March 9, 2017 Author Report Posted March 9, 2017 Yay!!! Wow, I'm #700!!!! Thank you Tony for reviewing my application. I really appreciate the additional tips to improve my armor. I never even noticed the ear screw placement, and I will address that! I will also get to fixing the paint on the tears and traps for the next level.I also didn't know about the belt corners. Just when I thought I was paying attention to detail of the build, I totally missed that one. Gah! (I had read about them needing to be cut 10-12mm in on the 45 degree angle.) That's what I get for following measurements and not sizes specific to my build! I can totally fix this, though- it won't be all that difficult, actually. I'll be sure to take new pics for Centurion. Once again, thank you!!!!! 2 Quote
