justjoseph63[Staff] Posted February 22, 2017 Report Posted February 22, 2017 Some really nice finishing touches on that armor, Jen! I like the fact that you updated the hovi-mic tips, got rid of the crappy Anovos canvas belt, and your ab/kidney connections are spectacular. I get the feeling you are aiming for Centurion, and you are well on your way! The only small things I see is that you may need for that is to widen the paint on your ab buttons just a hair, and the belt may have to come up a bit in the front. An awesome job on this armor! Sly11[Admin] Posted February 27, 2017 Report Posted February 27, 2017 Hey Jen welcome to your EI review, lets get into it!! CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All submission photos have been posted. Your armor displays all the necessary elements to qualify for level 2. Welcome to Expert Infantry trooper! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we review observations made by your fellow troopers and ourselves. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor. If any suggestion affects any application, it will be listed separately in the above or below sections. Love your attention to detail, you have hit the ground running with he Anovos helmet, fantastic upgrades Jen. We only have a few alignment/dressing issues that will help you look more balanced , so here we go. Lets start from the shoulders and work down, You still have a small gap at the very top, that can come in by shortening those Bell to shoulder bridge straps Reference image Next we have a couple of very minor tweaks that will take you only seconds to make. If you could drop the left Bicep down a touch to match the gap on the opposite arm, and raise the belt so it sits either right at the base or slightly overlapping the main Ab button plate, you will look spot on. Reference image Ok Jen, last couple of items and we are done. Again just some strap adjustment to get the back plate sitting right on top of the kidney plate for perfection. So you could either shorten them or maybe use a wider stronger elastic to keep them sitting together. I can see that the butt plate pops out at the ends, and looking at the internal strapping I think this is also easily remedied. Relocate or add an extra two straps closer to the ends of the plates and this should reign the ends in. If you find the butt plate has insufficient flex, try reducing the amount of return edge you have at the sides and the three angles as you get to the V shape at the bottom. Centurion Suggestions: In this section Uk or myself may suggest recommended or required repairs prior applying for the Centurion level however, the accuracy it is ultimately up to the trooper. To be honest, its really the fine tuning that we have mentioned above that will make you a shining example of a Centurion, so if you can do those few things, we will hopefully see you in the Centurion reviews very soon. Congratulations yet again on a wonderfully clean and tidy build. Quote
