khausauer Posted February 14, 2017 Report Posted February 14, 2017 Hi All!!!! If you are not familiar with my threads, "Steve" is a "ANH Stunt TK" Kit from Anovos that I am building and my 16-year old decided that "it" needed a name and "Steve" kinda stuck. This post is for the E-11 Blaster I am building for "Steve". It is an E-11 Uber ANH Model from rayabear <http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/user/26647-rayabear/>. It just arrived a couple of days ago and it is a 3D Printer Model setup and quite amazing. the quality of the parts and the attention to details is superb. rayabear <http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/user/26647-rayabear/> had numerous videos on Youtube for this device and its predecessor which are very informative and offer quite a bit of insight on the assembly. So off to the build. Here we go!!!! In the following pics I have assembled the three barrel elements, and sanded them down, I have installed the magazine holder and magazine, and I have installed the from sight assembly items..... khausauer Posted February 14, 2017 Author Report Posted February 14, 2017 Today we have done more work (painstaking work may I add with LOTS of sanding) and things look much more advanced now (did I mention there is a LOT of sanding????) So what this shows is really the end result of LOTS of sanding to complete. The T-Rails are sanded (sigh...) and ready for plasti-dip when it comes before end of the week... We also completed the bolt assembly, and the breach assembly as well.... it is now sitting and curing and I think we are going to apply the first coats(s) of paint to the bolt as well as the barrel.... Watch this space!!!! May the Force be with You!! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Quote
Thrawn's guard Posted February 14, 2017 Report Posted February 14, 2017 Nice work so far Kevin I look forward to following your progress. One quick suggestion would be to try to smooth the edges of the holes in the barrel if possible. 1 Quote

I may have to go get some putty and give it a go. Quote
Bulldog44[TK] Posted February 15, 2017 Report Posted February 15, 2017 Not sure if this would be helpful but I have seen people use this stuff on their 3D printed props to lessen the need for sanding. https://www.smooth-on.com/product-line/xtc-3d/ Quote
Slayer6769[501st] Posted February 15, 2017 Report Posted February 15, 2017 Are you sanding by hand or are you using some sort of power sander? Quote
khausauer Posted February 15, 2017 Author Report Posted February 15, 2017 Are you sanding by hand or are you using some sort of power sander? So far by hand. The barrel was pretty easy. The smaller pieces even a hobby sander might be tough. I may try anyway... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Quote
Amish Trooper Posted May 31, 2017 Report Posted May 31, 2017 How has this turned out? I recently purchased the uber kit and a big set of smooth on Xtc-3D Quote
