sylverbard[TK] Posted February 2, 2017 Report Posted February 2, 2017 Go CCG! First, don't take anything people post in ei or centurion threads personally. Take a gander at my EI application as an example: raking it over the coals improved it lots. We just throw out impressions as we see them. Keep in mind, too, that, other than me I don't know how to build for squat, many of the commenters have seen dozens or hundreds of kits. Their impressions may be worth considering for fine tuning, but it's only the opinion of the two judges that count for approval. Everything looks like it fits, and fits comfortably. I already commented on the chest return edge size elsewhere so won't mention it again. The forearms do look bigggish in circumference but as long as they don't fall off then all good. I've see bigger, but that guy had massive fists and thin forearms. As long as it's comfortable and padded so it doesn't dig into elbows or wrists then don't worry about it. Especially considering ones bigger out of the box normally with ATA. I'm not sure if my armourer scaled mine down. I'm sure we will see that ei ribbon shortly :-) 1 Quote

odysseus27766[501st] Posted February 4, 2017 Author Report Posted February 4, 2017 (edited) Hey Tony, Thanks, I appreciate the heads-up. As Requested here are pics of the interior of the armour. You will see the top half (chest & back) and bottom half are separate pieces as I use a suspender system to hold up the bottom half and hang the top half in place. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All submission photos have been posted. Your armor displays all the necessary elements to qualify for Expert Infantry. Welcome trooper, congratulations! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we review observations made by your fellow troopers and ourselves. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor. If any suggestion affects any application, it will be listed separately in the above or below sections. We have a few areas to go over but nothing incredibly major. Let's check these out. 1) Shoulder bell gap in the back. They appear to be fine in the front but there's a large gap in the back. Suggest rotating them a bit to even out the spacing Reference photo 2) Excessive return edge. It's not a requirement but the armor would look cleaner if you remove some of return edge around the armor. Return edge give the armor the illusion of thickness but in some areas it looks more like flashing or spare plastic. Note the lack of return edge on Hans Centurion Suggestions: In this section we prepare you for Centurion. If there were any areas of concern they would be discussed here. We do have a couple areas that will need to be address before applying for Centurion if you choose to do so. 1) The drop box is to be aligned with the outer edge of the waist ammo belt. Securing the low connecting strap should help keep aligned. From the front the alignment appears to be ok but from the back they'e off. We're suggesting you secure the drop box elastic to the wait belt itself. For level three certification (if applicable): Drop boxes are vertically aligned with the end of the ammo belt with minimal gap between belt and box. Reference photo. Back plate overlapping the kidney. For level three certification (if applicable): Back plate shall have no, or minimal overlap of the kidney plate. Reference photo That's it!
