scottdm62[TK] Posted January 28, 2017 Report Posted January 28, 2017 If I get a DLT-19, do I need to keep the holster on my ANH Stunt? Or will removing it keep me from EIB status? Quote
magni[TK] Posted January 28, 2017 Report Posted January 28, 2017 A TK always has a holster. Unless you want to go HWT? *Subtle hint* 2 Quote
Daetrin[Admin] Posted January 28, 2017 Report Posted January 28, 2017 You will need it to get EI. Once you get EI, how you troop is up to you and your GEC. Quote
scottdm62[TK] Posted January 28, 2017 Author Report Posted January 28, 2017 Heavy trooper will eventually be the goal. Thank you guys for the answers. Quote
justjoseph63[Staff] Posted January 28, 2017 Report Posted January 28, 2017 GREAT to hear that you are headed for EIB, Scott! You can carry your E-11 as well as the DLT-19, which is what many Troopers do. Or like Randy mentioned, HWT is always an option. (Yet another subtle hint).. Quote
scottdm62[TK] Posted January 28, 2017 Author Report Posted January 28, 2017 Ok, not to muddy up the situation, I see in ANH the scene when they capture The Princess 2 troopers are with out holsters, thats part of why I asked. Quote
Daetrin[Admin] Posted January 28, 2017 Report Posted January 28, 2017 Yeah, that's a fair question. However the goal of the CRL is to do the canonical character we see on screen and does not include wardrobe flubs. It can be had to remember, but back in 1977 the only way to see the movie was at the theater, it didn't come out on VHS until years after, and even then our TV's weren't much bigger than your computer monitor today. No one freeze framed or Blu-ray'd, and to be frank the costuming departments back then didn't care as much about continuity as people obsess about today. Which is why you also see Mr. No Tube Strips, background officers walking the hallways with straight leg pants and no rank bars. Heck, you can see the gaffers tape on the TK's in places too. But again, if you were to watch this on the big screen back in 1977, no one ever noticed, which is why they didn't spend more time on such things. OK, that's a bit long winded, but the tl/dr is that the CRL's don't capture continuity errors, flubs, etc. Quote
scottdm62[TK] Posted January 29, 2017 Author Report Posted January 29, 2017 I understand as a matter of fact I was watching ANH last night and noticed for the first time ever at the beginning of the move R2 already has a dent in his dome. Dent is gone when on Tattoine. Quote
