I have been doing my research and looking around for over 2 months, i have decided i want to start with Sandtrooper and Heavy Weapons Stormtrooper kits. i have found a company called Atlantic Composite Products based in England. They make alot of kits, replicas, weaponry etc all of their reviews i could find seem to be good and the gear looks to be up to scratch. Anyone heard of them? dealt with them before i go with it?

Unfortunately no Aussie builders to save costs and shipping.

Also there is alot of stormtrooper kits to pick from but finding a Sandtrooper kit is another story, do i have to buy the stormtrooper kit and just buy the left knee pad and abs plate individually?

thanks all look forward to the responses

I'd personally stay away from anyone not listed in the vetted armor maker section. If the name is not easy to search for and find here on FISD then I think you get your answer ;)

There are quite a few makers that sell Stormtrooper armor and also sandy versions, you can purchase extras too, you can buy a Stormtrooper kit and ask for extra pieces for sandtrooper if you want to change over later.

If you are looking for a Sandy kit do some research on MEPD http://forum.mepd.net

There is lots around and thats what iam thinking just getting the add ons for the sandy suit but would be easier if the kit cam whole then not purchasing extra when not required. You have to register for every site you go on..LOL i have already checked out the MEPD, i will go for the full build from the start than doing adjustments later.

The sydney chapter is very quiet and website is hard to navigate and get any responses from but will keep trying.

Thanks mate.

Why not contact a few of the armor makers to see what they provide, I know having dealt with ATA that he supplies sandtrooper pieces. Vetted armor makers are in that getting started thread for a reason ;)

Mate, you've mentioned 4 or 5 times how hard the Sydney site is or there's no activity, or nothing happening.... I've never heard of anyone else having issues. Have you registered yet? Have you signed on? Have you introduced yourself? I haven't seen you there. Sorry, but you won't get any help if you don't ask.

What or who are you not getting any responses about?

BTW; MTK armour also does either/or. Just ask him. Super reasonably priced too.

I think most sellers provide the diamond knee plate and the ab buttons so you can go sandy.  As far as the armor itself goes there really isn't too many differences between a TK and a sandtrooper besides those two items.  You will also have to build a backpack and make it look sandy.  But the backpack you will have to get from other vendors and I'm sure the MEPD will be able to point you in the right direction.

Any of the vendors on our approved lists provided quality TK armor.  As for the packs, you can either build (via kit) or purchase.

My first AM kit came with all the necessary Sandie items as well.
