Taraian Posted January 11, 2017 Report Posted January 11, 2017 After months of anticipation, I got home late last night to see the mythical big brown box in all her wallet killing glory! Waiting was pretty painful, and I found out there have been thieves nicking packages in my neighborhood which only made me agonize over when it would arrive (or if it already had and was taken). Considering the thread this is in, that wasn't the case. I'm still at a loss just looking all the components. With the spring semester starting in a week, I'm hoping I can get as much work done on this suit. Right now I'm still waiting on TK boots to arrive sometime in the next month, so hopefully I'll be trooping with those of you in North Texas sometime soon! All in all, this looks like it'll be a fun time. On WTF's facebook page someone mentioned starting from the legs up in order to avoid messing with anything too noticeable, and I'm thinking that's not a bad idea for someone who isn't as practiced as I imagine most here would be. Thanks for the read, wish me luck! Quote
Kaar121[501st] Posted January 11, 2017 Report Posted January 11, 2017 Hey Albert. Welcome to the FISD and congrats on the Big Brown Box day. Starting at the bottom and working your way up is sound advice. Working on small things like the Thermal Detonator, hand guards or belt also help. Best of luck on your build and don't forget to have fun. Quote
magni[TK] Posted January 11, 2017 Report Posted January 11, 2017 Congratulations Albert! Might I recommend starting with the arms. It's easier to work with to get the hang of glueing the pieces. Those parts are usually trim and glue. The thighs are a little more involved. Plus you can run around with your arm's and biceps on sooner! Good Luck Albert. Walt makes a nice kit. See ypu in the Advanced Tactics section soon! Quote
