Riva[TK] Posted December 30, 2016 Report Posted December 30, 2016 (edited) I've just started my modification on Hasbro TK bucket, it's a long way to go. Let's start with the easiest part: the frown(teath) mesh. It's not difficult to take it out. All you need to do is cut it and add the mesh(metal or plastic or fabric) on and paint it black. My mesh is a little bit too big in the holes(2mm), suggest buy a smaller one, or you'll have to make it two layer. That's what I have done so far, will keep going to catch up the latest 501 CRL. Will keep this posted. Edited December 30, 2016 by Riva 3 Quote
Riva[TK] Posted January 4, 2017 Author Report Posted January 4, 2017 Double layer mesh make it even better. Quote
Riva[TK] Posted January 16, 2017 Author Report Posted January 16, 2017 The original lens are not clear enough. If you wear them too long, you may feel dizzy. Better change a new one. The good news is that any green protective goggles should do. The bad news is you may need two pairs due to the lens size. See how the lines distorted on the left? I may start cutting them next week due to the tools. Quote
ireachy Posted January 20, 2017 Report Posted January 20, 2017 Hi Riva, just an obs, but the frown mesh - as seen on the helmets at Celebration Europe 2016 - is aligned vertical / horizontal, and not on the diagonal. A very small detail, but easy to mod to get screen accurate if that is your intention. Will enjoy watching your thread as in the process of modding my BS helmet too. Great to see how folks are tackling the mods and tweaks. Keep it coming... ireachy 2 Quote
