psychotropic Posted December 17, 2016 Report Posted December 17, 2016 (edited) Sorry if this has been posted already. And I don't want to start an argument, but I had to get this off my chest. Anyone else enfuriated by this guy?<br><br> "It won't stand up to HD treatment" but the originals are already in HD. As a huge lover of the ANH TKs all the bumps make it seem more real to me. If you got a real gun used in WWII I'm sure it wouldn't have some bumps, tape, and a repair or two. Just makes it seem more real. Feels like making a movie about Nirvana and saying "Yea Kurts real guitars were a little too beat up. So we made them better." Idk maybe I just care to much about small details.<a data-ipb='nomediaparse' href='<a data-ipb='nomediaparse' href='https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=4hV-6I2nxGQ%27' class="bbc_url" title="External link">https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=4hV-6I2nxGQ'>https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=4hV-6I2nxGQ</a></a> Edited December 17, 2016 by psychotropic Quote
Colin1138[TK] Posted December 17, 2016 Report Posted December 17, 2016 Making a SW movie in 2016 with TKs looking like '77...would be like releasing an XBox One game with N64 graphics.... Sent from my R4 unit using Tapatalk 4 Quote
psychotropic Posted December 17, 2016 Author Report Posted December 17, 2016 That's not true. The ships looked more realistic in the original trilogy then the cg force awakens ones. Quote
gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted December 17, 2016 Report Posted December 17, 2016 Thanks for the share I hadn't seen this Quote
aintrabar[TK] Posted December 18, 2016 Report Posted December 18, 2016 Well i love the old ANH TK's myself but hes got a point The gaffers tape woudl show up pretty big on the new cameras heh. If they had had 3d printing in 76 i'm sure the helmets would have been a little more detailed too. hehe Quote
sylverbard[TK] Posted December 18, 2016 Report Posted December 18, 2016 That's not true. The ships looked more realistic in the original trilogy then the cg force awakens ones. That's because the original ships were captured on 80mp sensors. Force awakens ships, about 6mp. And flat. And fake shadows. And fake lights. Quote
ABS80 Posted December 18, 2016 Report Posted December 18, 2016 (edited) In a real Star Wars world were technology is far beyond our imagination trooper armor would logically be perfect and everything super precise, it would look weird seeing asymmetries, bumps ect... I'm not talking about dents made from battle but actual bumps like seen on the original ANH troopers which weren't intentional but rush sculpted with a limited budget, with all that being said I still prefer the more athletic and less bulky look of the original ANH troopers. Sent from my R4 unit using Tapatalk Yes, no point in perpetuating the "Imperial procurement flaws" we see in ANH. Quote
