I taped off the pieces using the mold lines and left a return edge of 1/8 to 1/4 depending on the part. I still need to sand it to get rid of the rough edges, butactest fit waa in order to see what extra trimming i need to do.

I put in a lot of time last night and today. I had everything taped off, so i trimmed it. Still working on shoulder straps, have not touched the bucket.

Fitting forearms and biceps tonight. Attaching knee belt as well in the right thigh.

I also think i may have to take a little more off of the bottom here.

Looking Good. I wouldn't trim that bottom opening on your bucket just yet. The black s-trim will clean the edge up, but for the size of the opening, you want to keep it as small as possible. When the opening gets oversized, the general public, and especially kids, can see right up into your bucket when you are wearing it. Not good.

Sure, a smaller opening means it might be harder to get your bucket on and off quickly, but it will preserve the look of the Stormtrooper, and make it less Halloween mask, if you get what I'm saying. :smiley-sw013:

I understand. I have a small head so it should be ok as is. Once i clamp it together i can try to slide it on and see if any needs to come off. Thank you for the advice

Just a word of advice when trying your bucket on for the first time, David.. Don't try to do it straight on. Most of us have to begin at an angle and then straighten it out once it's on.

Nice Progress David. Check the thickness of your black outlines on the vents and tears ... they look to be on the heavy side.

I cant get it past my forehead at the moment. Even sideways. Wont have to trim much. Thank you

And after days of searching. I found the thread i was looking for.
http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/29238-my-helmet-ear-tutorial/
My ears are still a litgle thick compared to the ones in thread. So I am on the right path.

Double width of tape. Press inside of helmet. Trace and mark left/right. Remove and draw a 1/4" line outside of trace line. Cut out tape. Place on lense material. Cut out. Next step in a bit.

For The eyes i pushed foil around the opening, noodled out 1/4 brick of sculpy, pressed around the outside of the opening, gently removed foil, bake. The foil holds the shape and after it cools, gently pulled away from the molded sculpy.

I also got an ear trimmed. If the position is ok then i will drill and screw it on tomorrow.

If i press down on the screw holes, half of that gap disappears.

5/8" for the first hole and another 5/8" for the second (1 3/8" from edge)

Bling

Split rivet placement.

I measured 15mm from the top. (ab side)

Then where the red line and arrow are, is what i used for my bottom. Since below that is the cod (i think thats how i read it)

With 10mm from the edge. Splitting the difference between the 2 for my 3rd rivet. 60mm from center to center.

I think i read it properly that the edge of the rivet should be 10mm from the edge of the ab/kidney. If so then i will be set for Sunday when i pop those into place.
